Take the TTC to cheer on the Blue Jays in the World Series


Your guide to get to Jays World Series home games at Rogers Centre and free viewing parties at Nathan Phillips Square

The Toronto Blue Jays are returning to the World Series for the first time since their legendary 1993 championship win. This time, they’re facing off against the Los Angeles Dodgers in a best of seven series. Whether you’re heading to Rogers Centre to catch the action in-person or joining the City of Toronto’s viewing parties at Nathan Phillips Square, the TTC can get you there.

Rogers Centre is located at 1 Blue Jays Way, Toronto.

Here is what you need to know:

The Toronto Blue Jays will host the Los Angeles Dodgers at the Rogers Centre for the World Series. 

Jays Home Schedule:

  • Game 1: Friday, October 24 at 8 p.m. 
  • Game 2: Saturday, October 25 at 8 p.m.
  • Game 6 (if necessary): Friday, October 31 at 8 p.m.
  • Game 7 (if necessary): Saturday, November 1 at 8 pm. 

Getting to Rogers Centre by TTC

  • Closest Subway Station and Surface Routes

    Here are two ways the TTC can take you there:

    Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station. Exit the station and head west along the south side of Front Street West to Rogers Centre. Alternatively, you can take the SkyWalk indoor path connecting Union Station to the CN Tower and Rogers Centre.

    Option 2: If you're traveling by bus or streetcar in the downtown core, the following routes will get you to and from the venue:

  • World Series Viewing Parties at Nathan Phillips Square

    The City of Toronto will be hosting free World Series viewing parties at Nathan Phillips Square where fans can gather to watch the game on a big screen, with music by a live DJ and Blue Jays trivia for prizes between innings.

    Here are some ways the TTC can take you there:

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Queen Station and walk west on Queen Street to the square.
    • Option 2: Take Line 1 to Osgoode Station and walk east on Queen Street to the square.
    • Option 3: Take the 501 Queen streetcar to Osgoode or Queen stations and walk to the square. 
  • Parking at Union Station

    There is no parking available directly at Union Station.

    While parking options in the area are limited, we encourage you to take the TTC for a smoother and more convenient commute to the venue. If you’re driving part of the way, several paid parking lots are located near Union Station. From these lots, you can easily connect to the TTC and continue your journey.

  • Connecting to the TTC from Pearson and Billy Bishop airports 

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

    The 900 Airport Express bus route provides all-day service between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Kipling Station on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. From Kipling, take Line 2 to Spadina Station, then transfer to a southbound 510B Spadina to Queens Quay and get off at Bremner Boulevard. Head north on Spadina Road and follow signs to Rogers Centre. 

    The following routes also travel to and from the airport:

    You can also take the UP Express from Pearson Airport to Union Station, then head west along the south side of Front Street West to Rogers Centre. 

    Billy Bishop Airport

    Take the eastbound 509 Harbourfront streetcar to Union Station and get off at Rees Street. Then head north and follow the signs to Rogers Centre.   

    Alternatively, you can walk 10 minutes to a southbound 510A Spadina streetcar, get off at Bremner Boulevard stop, and head north on Spadina Road to Rogers Centre.  

  • Plan your trip with TTC

    Planning your trip on the TTC is simple. Here are a few ways to get started:

    • Call the TTC Customer Information team at 416-393-4636. A representative will be happy to assist you. The team is available daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding statutory holidays.
    • Use the Trip Planner on ttc.ca to map out your route.
    • Download a mobile transit app to your device for trip planning and real-time vehicle arrival information. Please search for “TTC transit” on the Apple App Store and Google Play. As part of a year-long pilot between TTC and Transit app, customers can also see scheduled and unscheduled bus and streetcar diversions live in the app. 
  • Paying a fare and Proof-of-Payment 

    Quick tips:

    • Credit/debit cards are the fastest way to pay. However, each person over the age of 12 will be required to tap a separate card to pay a fare.
    • A PRESTO card can be loaded to a mobile device for free, or a physical card can be purchased for $4 from a Fare Vending Machine at a subway station. The cards can be loaded with money for pay-as-you-go travel.

    Note: PRESTO cards need to be set to deduct a youth or senior fare. This can be done at Shoppers Drug Mart locations, or other PRESTO Customer Service Outlet. Government issued ID required.

    **Each person is required to have their own PRESTO Ticket.

    Children 12 years of age and younger travel for free! Youth aged 16 to 19 are required to carry identification (high school photo identification, Ontario photo ID, or driver’s license) while travelling on the TTC. 

    Proof-of-Payment

    A tapped PRESTO, credit/debit, or mobile device is a customer’s Proof-of-Payment. If paying by cash, ask the Operator on a bus for a paper transfer, or get one from the transfer machine at a station or on a streetcar. Carry these to show a Fare Inspector if asked.

    Two-hour transfer

    A two-hour transfer is available to use when tapping PRESTO, credit/debit or a mobile device. Does not apply to customers paying with cash. Must be within two hours of the first tap. 

    One Fare Program

    The One Fare Program allows customers paying with a PRESTO card, PRESTO in mobile wallet, debit or credit card, to transfer for free between the TTC, Brampton Transit, Durham Region Transit, MiWay, York Region Transit and GO Transit.

  • Safety features on the TTC

    Call 911 in the event of an emergency.

    Download the SafeTTC app for free from the Apple App or Google Play stores. The mobile app offers a quick and discreet method for reporting harassment, safety concerns or suspicious activity directly to the TTC’s Transit Control Centre.

    For help at a station or on a vehicle, do the following:

    At a station:

    • Speak to the Customer Service Agent at a station or any TTC employee.

    On a bus/streetcar:

    • Speak to the Operator on a bus.
    • Push the intercom to speak the Operator on a streetcar.

    On a subway:

    • In the event of a medical emergency that requires police, fire or ambulance, push the Emergency Alarm above the window on a subway train. The train will travel into the station and an Operator will come to assist.

    TTC staff, including Special Constables, will be available throughout the system and in key locations in the downtown core to assist at any time.
