Streetcar Service Changes


Streetcar routes currently impacted by a service change.

The following streetcar routes have service changes due to various construction projects.  Please visit this page regularly to stay up to date on all streetcar service changes. You can also follow @ttcnoticessubscribe to e-Alerts, or plan your trip using our Trip Planner.

  • 501/301 Queen

    Effective Sunday, November 19, 501C Queen streetcar service will be introdouced daily between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. and will operate between Humber Loop and Long Branch Loop. All other times of the day, customers can board 507 Long Branch streetcars between Humber Loop and Long Branch Loop.

    501A Queen streetcars will continue to operate between Queen Street and McCaul Street and Humber Loop. Customers looking to travel further west past Humber Loop, can transfer between 501A Queen streetcars and 507 Long Branch streetcars or 501C Queen streetcars at Humber Loop.

    301 Queen Night Bus service will operate as a single service from Neville Park to Long Branch with no transfer required at any point.

    501L Queen replacement buses that were operating between Long Branch and Humber Loop, via Lake Shore Boulevard, Park Lawn Road and The Queensway will be removed. 501M Queen replacement buses, that were operating between Marine Parade Drive and Humber Loop via Lake Shore Boulevard, Marine Parade Drive, Park Lawn Road and The Queensway will also be removed.

    501B Queen replacement buses will continue to operate between Queen Street and Bathurst Street and Queen Street and Broadview Avenue, diverting around Queen Street and Yonge Street area for Ontario Line construction.

    301 Queen Night  buses will operate between approximately 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. from Neville Park Loop to Long Branch Loop, detouring around Queen Street and Yonge Street due to Ontario Line construction. There will be no need to transfer between buses.

    Transfer Points

    • Customers transferring between the 501L Queen replacement bus and 501A Queen streetcars should do so at Queen Street West and Dufferin Street.
    • Customers transferring between the 501A Queen streetcars and 501B Queen replacement bus should do so at Queen Street West and McCaul Street (if travelling eastbound) and Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue (if travelling westbound)

    Other routes operating along Queen Street East

    • 503 Kingston Road streetcars are operating seven days a week via Queen Street East, Kingston Road, to Bingham Loop.
    • Boarding any westbound streetcar or bus on Queen Street East between Broadview Avenue and Kingston Road will connect you to Line 1 Yonge-University.
  • 504/304 King

    There are currently two service changes on this route and one accessibility notice

    Effective Sunday, November 19, 2023

    504/505 King/Dundas replacement bus service will operate between Castle Frank Station and King and Parliament streets as follows:

    Southbound: from Castle Frank Station, east on Bloor Street, south on Broadview Avenue, west on Queen Street, west on King Street, south on Parliament Street, west on Front Street, north on Berkeley Street, to King Street.
    Northbound: from King Street and Parliament streets, east on King Street, east on Queen Street, north on Broadview Avenue and west on Bloor Street, to Castle Frank Station.
    Castle Frank Station is not an accessible station. Line 2 is accessible at Broadview Station. You can exit a 504/505 King/Dundas bus on-street at Broadview and Danforth avenues to enter Broadview Station.

    304 King:

    • 304 King night buses will operate between Castle Frank and Dundas West stations, via Bloor Street East, Broadview Avenue, Queen Street East, King Street and Roncesvalles Avenue

    Effective September 8, 2023 until further notice

    504 King streetcars will not operate on Dufferin Street between King Street and Dufferin Gate Loop due to construction. 504B King streetcars will extend on King Street to King-Queen-Queensway-Roncesvalles (KQQR) intersection. Service levels will not be impacted as a result.

    Accessibility notice

    504 King customers travelling on Roncesvalles Avenue from Bloor Street to Queen Street who require the ramp to be deployed along this section of the route, should board a 504 King replacement bus. These buses are running every 10-15 minutes between Dundas West Station and Queen Street and Roncesvalles Avenue. 

  • 505 Dundas

    There are currently two service changes affecting this route.

    Effective Sunday, November 19, 2023

    504/505 King/Dundas replacement bus service will operate between Castle Frank Station and King and Parliament streets as follows:

    Southbound: from Castle Frank Station, east on Bloor Street, south on Broadview Avenue, west on Queen Street, west on King Street, south on Parliament Street, west on Front Street, north on Berkeley Street, to King Street.
    Northbound: from King Street and Parliament streets, east on King Street, east on Queen Street, north on Broadview Avenue and west on Bloor Street, to Castle Frank Station.
    Castle Frank Station is not an accessible station. Line 2 is accessible at Broadview Station. You can exit a 504/505 King/Dundas bus on-street at Broadview and Danforth avenues to enter Broadview Station. 

    Ongoing 505 Dundas route diversion

    • Broadview Avenue is closed to streetcar traffic from Danforth Avenue to Gerrard Street East. 
    • 505 Dundas streetcars will extend to Kingston Road and Queen Street East via Broadview Avenue, Gerrard Street East, Coxwell Avenue to Queen Street East and Kingston Road.

     

  • 507 Long Branch

    Effective November 19, 507 Long Branch streetcars will return to service operating between Long Branch Loop and Humber Loop every day until 10 p.m. Customers can board 507 Long Branch streetcars from platforms on Lake Shore Boulevard. From 10 p.m. until 1 a.m., service will be provided by 501 Queen streetcars, providing customers with transfer-free service between Long Branch Loop and McCaul Street.

    301 Queen overnight replacement buses will continue to operate between Long Branch Loop and Neville Park Loop, seven days a week.

    With full streetcar service resuming from Long Branch Loop to McCaul Street, 501L Queen replacement buses that were operating between Long Branch and Humber Loop, via Lake Shore Boulevard, Park Lawn Road and The Queensway will be removed.

    501M Queen replacement buses, that were operating between Marine Parade Drive and Humber Loop via Lake Shore Boulevard, Marine Parade Drive, Park Lawn Road and The Queensway will also be removed.

  • 508 Lake Shore

    508 Lake Shore streetcars will continue to operate between Long Branch Loop and downtown via King Street to Queen and Parliament streets, providing customers with direct service to downtown. Streetcars will depart in the morning peak periods heading eastbound from Long Branch Loop at 6:40 a.m., 7:10 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 7:50 a.m., and 8:10 a.m. Streetcars will depart in the afternoon peak periods heading westbound from King Station at 4:25 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., approximately every 20 minutes.

  • 512 St Clair 

    Starting Sunday, September 3, 2023 multiple construction projects will take place along St Clair Avenue and at St Clair West Station, requiring 512 St Clair streetcars to be replaced by buses from St Clair Station to Gunns Loop, until mid-2024. During this time, stops will be served at the curbside along the route. Bus service at St Clair West Station will also be impacted in the following ways:

    33 Forest Hill and 126 Christie

    Buses will not enter St Clair West Station. There will be no change to routing or service levels. 

    Board 33 Forest Hill buses on the south side of St Clair Avenue, outside of the station.

    90 Vaughan

    90 Vaughan will divert both ways to Bathurst Station, via Vaughan Road and Bathurst Street.

    To access St Clair West Station on Line 1, southbound customers can use a temporary stop on Vaughan Road, north of St Clair Avenue, and walk approximately 5 minutes to the station, or transfer to an eastbound 512 St Clair replacement bus at Vaughan Road and St Clair Avenue West.

    The northbound 90 Vaughan stop is on Vaughan Road, north of St Clair Avenue.

    The 312 St Clair night bus will continue to operate on its normal route, but will not enter St Clair West Station. Customer access to St Clair and St Clair West Station will not be impacted and subway service will continue.
