Music, food, sports and fun for all ages – it’s summertime in the city!
Subway Closures
Line 1
On Friday, July 4, subway service on Line 1 between St Clair West and St Andrew stations will be replaced by shuttle buses starting at 11 p.m. until the end of service at approximately 2 a.m. due to planned track work.
TTC staff will be available to assist customers. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance.
Dupont, Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket, and connect to surface routes.
Here are alternative surface and subway routes for customers to connect to Line 1*:
St Clair West Station – Take a 512 St Clair streetcar eastbound to St Clair Station.
Queen’s Park Station – Take a 506 Carlton streetcar eastbound to College Station.
St Patrick Station – Take a 505 Dundas streetcar eastbound to Dundas Station.
Osgoode Station – Take a 501 Queen streetcar eastbound to Yonge Street and Adelaide Street West. From there, you have two options:
Option 1: Walk for approximately two minutes south to King Station
Option 2: Walk approximately five minutes north to Queen Station.
Customers travelling on Line 2 can connect to Line 1 at Bloor-Yonge Station.
*With the exception of College Station, all stations listed above are accessible.
Regular subway service will resume on Line 1 on Saturday, July 5.
Line 2
Subway service on Line 2 between Kipling and Jane stations will be replaced by shuttle buses on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6 for planned signal work.
TTC staff will be available to assist customers. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance.
Royal York Station will be open; however, the automated entrance will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket and connect to surface routes.
Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance. Customers with accessibility needs can also take the 149 Etobicoke-Bloor Accessibility Shuttle buses which operate between Kipling and High Park stations.
Regular subway service will resume on Monday, July 7.
A note for subway customers: While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the end of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete state-of-good-repair work.

Bus and streetcar service changes
Events being held across the city will result in adjustments in service on select bus and streetcar routes.
Beginning on Friday, July 4 at 10 a.m. until Monday, July 7 at 2 a.m. there will be temporary changes to the following routes for the Taste of Lawrence:

Afrofest
Woodbine Beach Park, 1675 Lake Shore Boulevard EastShare the rich and diverse expressions of African music and culture in an inclusive, vibrant and positive community festival setting.
- Friday July 4 – beginning at 6 p.m.

Here are a few ways the TTC can take you there:
- Option 1: Take a 501 Queen streetcar to Queen Street East at Woodbine Avenue. From there, it’s approximately a 7-minute walk to the park.
- Option 2: Take Line 2 to Woodbine Station. From there, take a 92 Woodbine South bus and exit at 1816 Lake Shore Boulevard East. From there, it’s approximately a 4-minute walk to the park.
- Option 3: Take Line 2 to Coxwell Station. From there, take a 22 Coxwell South bus and exit at Queen Street East and Kingston Road. From there, it’s approximately a 15-minute walk to the park.

For those attending the event, the TTC can take you there:
Take the 501 Queen or 503 Kingston Road streetcar and exit at Queen Street East and Empire Avenue. From there, it’s approximately a one-minute to the park.
Fun Philippines Toronto Food & Music Festival
Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay WestA high-energy celebration of Filipino culture, bringing together the Philippines’ culinary delights, festive beats, and artistic expressions.
- Friday, July 4: beginning at 5 p.m.
- Saturday, July 5: beginning at 11 a.m.

To get there using the TTC, take the 509 Harbourfront streetcar from Union Station or Exhibition Loop and exit at Queens Quay West at Harbourfront Centre. From there, it’s a short walk to the venue.
Ink the 6ix Tattoo Expo
Enercare Centre, 100 Princes’ BlvdJoin in this first-ever gathering of some of the best tattoo artists in Canada, featuring seminars, stunning art shows, and hands-on workshops.

Going to the event? The TTC can take you there:
- Option 1: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station. From there, take a 511 Bathurst streetcar towards Exhibition Loop.Exit at Manitoba Drive and Strachan Avenue West. From there, ollowing directional signage to the Enercare Centre.
- Option 2: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a 509 Harbourfront streetcar towards Exhibition Loop. Exit at Manitoba Drive and Strachan Avenue West. From there, follow directional signage to the Enercare Centre.
- Option 3: Take Line 2 to Ossington station. From there, take a 63 Ossington bus southbound towards Liberty Village and exit at Strachan Avenue at East Liberty Street. From there, it’s approximately a 10-minute walk to the Enercare Centre.
Lavazza IncluCity Festival
Distillery District, 55 Mill StreetThe Lavazza IncluCity Festival runs to July 20, with one-of-a-kind events that span from design to music, and from art to cinema, promoting Canada as dynamic cultural and artistic destination.

For those attending the festival, there are several ways the TTC can take you there:
- Option 1: At Front Street West at Bay Street East Side near Union Station, board an eastbound 121 Esplanade-River bus. Exit at Front Street East at Cherry Street. From there, it’s a 5-minute walk to the Distillery District.
- Option 2: At Front Street West at Bay Street East Side near Union Station, board an eastbound 202 Cherry Beach bus. Exit at Front Street East at Cherry Street. From there, it’s a 5-minute walk to the Distillery District.
- Option 3: Board an eastbound 504C King replacement bus to the Distillery. The 504C stops at both St Andrew and King subway stations along Line 1. Exit the 504C King replacement bus at Mill and Trinity streets. From there, it is a 1-minute walk to the Distillery District.
- Option 4: Take Line 2 to Castle Frank Station. From there, board a southbound 65 Parliament bus. Exit at Mill and Parliament streets. From there, it is approximately a 3-minute walk to the Distillery District.
Taste of Lawrence
Lawrence Avenue from Warden to BirchmountJoin in Scarborough’s largest street festival, serving up a mix of live entertainment and flavours from around the world!
- Friday, July 4: 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.
- Saturday, July 5: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
- Sunday, July 6: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

- Option 1: Take Line 2 to Warden Station. Walk to the temporary bus terminal. From there, take the 68 Warden bus or 968 Warden Express bus to Warden Avenue at Lawrence Avenue East.
- Option 2: Take Line 2 to Warden Station. Walk to the temporary bus terminal. From there, take the 17 Birchmount bus to Lawrence Avenue East at Birchmount Road.
Important note for 54 Lawrence East, 354 Lawrence East Night Bus, 954 Lawrence East Express customers: To accommodate the event, there will be temporary changes to these routes for the Taste of Lawrence from Friday July 4 at 10 a.m. until Monday, July 7 at 2 a.m. Full details on route changes impacted by the Taste of Lawrence can found here.

Taste of the Middle East Toronto Festival

If you’re going to the festival, the TTC can get you there:
- Option 1: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station, take a southbound 511 Bathurst streetcar to Exhibition Loop. From there, follow directional signage to Trillium Park, east of Budweiser Stage.
- Option 2: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a westbound 510 Spadina streetcar from Union Station to Exhibition Loop. From there, follow directional signage to Trillium Park, east of Budweiser Stage.
Salsa on St. Clair
St. Clair Avenue West - between Winona Road and Christie StreetAre you ready to salsa? Great eats, Latin beats and non-stop dancing in the streets – a fiesta for lovers of all Latino culture.
- Saturday, July 6: noon to 10:30 p.m.
- Sunday, July 7: noon to 8:30 p.m.
Getting to the event on the TTC is easy! Take Line 1 to St. Clair West Station. Once you’ve exited the station, walk approximately 5 minutes west to the Christie Street entrance.
Important note for 512 St Clair and 312 St Clair-Junction customers: If you’re taking the 512 St Clair streetcar or 312 St Clair-Junction bus, note that there will be temporary diversions from Saturday, July 5 at 8 a.m. until Sunday, July 6 at 11 p.m. for the event. Rogers Centre, 1 Blue Jays WayFor those attending the game, here’s how the TTC can take you there:
- Option 1: If you are travelling by subway, take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, exit the station and walk west along the south side of Front Street West to Rogers Centre. Alternatively, you can take the SkyWalk indoor path connecting Union Station to the CN Tower and Rogers Centre.
- Option 2: If you are travelling on bus or streetcar routes in the downtown core, the 510 Spadina, 19 Bay, 97 Yonge, 114 Queens Quay East and 121 Esplanade-River routes will get you to and from the game.
Toronto Argonauts vs Hamilton Tiger Cats – 7:30 p.m.
BMO Field, 170 Princes’ Boulevard, Exhibition PlaceFor those heading to the game, here are two ways the TTC can take you there:
- Option 1: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station. From there, take a southbound 511 Bathurst streetcar to Exhibition Loop. From there, follow directional signage to BMO Field.
- Option 2: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a westbound 510 Spadina streetcar from Union Station to Exhibition Loop. From there, follow directional signage to BMO Field.

Saturday, July 5
Harbourfront Farmers Market – 9 a.m to 1 p.m.
The Commons at Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay WestEnjoy seasonal produce, meats and products with Ontario's farmers and small-batch producers at the Harbourfront Farmers Market each Saturday until September 27.
For those heading to the Farmers Market, here a few ways the TTC can take you there:
- Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a 510 Spadina streetcar and exit at Queens Quay West and Harbourfront Centre. It is an approximately 1-minute walk to the venue from the stop.
- Option 2: Take Line 2 to Spadina Station. From there, take a 510 Spadina streetcar and exit at Queens Quay West and Harbourfront Centre. It is an approximately 1-minute walk to the venue from the stop.
- Option 3: From St Andrew Station, it’s a 15-minute walk south to the venue.
Pirate Fest – 10:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Pirate Life Theatre, 319 Queens Quay WEnjoy fun, family-friendly pirate-themed events with puppet shows, swashbuckling pool noodle swordfights, face painting, and more!

Christie Pits Film Festival – “Hunt for the Wilderpeople” – 6 p.m.
Christie Pits Park, 750 Bloor Street WestBring your blankets and chairs and gather together to sit on the berms at Christie Pits Park and enjoy movies after dark Sundays from July 6 to August 24.
