Overhead Inspections and Upgrades - Sumach and Cherry streets between King St and Distillery Loop

Work Details

The TTC will be conducting scheduled overnight overhead inspections and upgrades along Sumach/Cherry streets between King Street and the Distillery Loop. This work is part of the TTC’s preventative maintenance program to ensure safe and reliable streetcar service.

Work may take place around-the-clock within the streetcar right-of-way.

504C King replacement buses are currently operating between King and Bathurst streets and Front and Cherry streets at this time for infrastructure upgrades.

Wheel-Trans service will be maintained.

Equipment

TTC overhead trucks with hydraulic equipment will be used to carry out this work. While efforts will be made by the crews to keep noise to a minimum, beeping sounds when the trucks are backing up will be audible. Equipment lights may also be noticeable.
