Take the TTC to March Break activities happening across the city
With the arrival of spring-like temperatures and March Break, it is a prime opportunity to explore the many sporting events, shows, exhibitions and other special activities happening across Toronto — and the TTC can get you there.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade - Sunday, March 15 at 1 p.m.
Join thousands of others to celebrate Irish culture by enjoying marching bands, Irish dance troupes, and colourful floats as they proceed along the parade route starting near St George Station and ending at Yonge and Dundas streets.
Starting at St. George Street and Bloor Street
- Option 1: Take Line 1 or Line 2 to St George Station, then head south on St George Street toward the parade.
Please note: There will be temporary route changes on the 506 Carlton from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. due to the parade.

March Break Week Activities – Saturday, March 14 to Sunday, March 22
Lumière: The Art of Light
Trillium Park, Ontario Place
Experience the enchantment of Lumière: The Art of Light, a free outdoor light exhibition illuminating Trillium Park at Ontario Place.
- Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station, then board an eastbound 509 Harbourfront streetcar to Manitoba Drive at Strachan Avenue West. Head south on Strachan Avenue towards Remembrance Drive and west on Remembrance Drive towards the venue.
- Option 2: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station, then board a southbound 511 Bathurst streetcar to Manitoba Drive at Strachan Avenue West. Head south on Strachan Avenue towards Remembrance Drive and west on Remembrance Drive towards the venue.
- Option 3: Take Line 2 to Dufferin Station, exit the station and board a southbound 29C bus and exit at Princes’ Gates Loop. Head south on Canada Boulevard to Princes’ Boulevard, west on Princes’ Boulevard to Newfoundland Road, and south on Newfoundland Road/Ontario Place Boulevard towards the venue.

Family-friendly activities and playful performances inspired by wildlife photography.
- Option 1: Take Line 1 to Museum Station, exit the station and head towards the venue.
- Option 2: Take Line 2 to Bay Station, exit the station and head west on Bloor Street West towards Queens Park, then south on Queens Park towards the venue.
Sugar Shack TO
Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West
Enjoy a truly Canadian experience with interactive activities, live entertainment, maple-infused comfort food and tons of maple taffy.
- Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station and then board a westbound 509 Harbourfront streetcar to the Harbourfront Centre stop. Head west on Queens Quay West towards the venue.
- Option 2: Take Line 2 to Spadina Station and board a southbound 510 Spadina streetcar to the Harbourfront Centre stop and head east towards the venue.
Toronto Zoo
2000 Meadowvale Road
Wander through five indoor tropical pavilions filled with lush landscapes and wildlife from around the world and enjoy special March Break activities all week long.
- Option 1: Take Line 1 to Kennedy Station and board the 86A Scarborough to Toronto Zoo.

- Option 2: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station, then board a southbound 511 Bathurst streetcar to Exhibition Loop and follow directional signage to the venue.
- Option 3: Take Line 2 to Ossington Station, then board a southbound 63 Ossington bus and exit at the Liberty Street and Atlantic Avenue stop. Head south on Atlantic Avenue and follow directional signage towards the venue.

- Option 2: If you are travelling on bus or streetcar routes in the downtown core, the 510 Spadina, 19 Bay, 97 Yonge, 114 Queens Quay East and 121 Esplanade-River routes will get you to and from Union Station. From Union, Scotiabank Arena is a short distance south down Bay Street.

Toronto Comicon – Friday, March 20 to Sunday, March 22
Toronto Comicon is a three day celebration of sci fi, horror, anime, gaming, and all things pop culture.
Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC), North Building, 255 Front Street West
- Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From the concourse level, follow signs to the SkyWalk. Head west through the SkyWalk indoor path to the MTCC.
- Option 2: Take Line 1 to St Andrew Station. From there, head west on King Street West towards Simcome Street, south on Simcoe Street to Front Street West and west on Front Street West towards the venue.
- Option 3: Take Line 2 to Spadina Station. From there, take a southbound 510B Spadina streetcar to Front Street West. Exit at Front Street West and head east towards the venue.
