Line 6 Finch West LRT and Line 1 Station Renamings

Effective December 7, 2025, there will be several notable new changes in the system, including the start of Line 6 Finch West Light Rail Transit (LRT) service along the Finch Avenue West corridor. This will also coincide with two other changes on Line 1 (Yonge-University) with the official renaming of Eglinton West Station to Cedarvale Station and Dundas Station to TMU Station. The new information about these changes and other service adjustments will be updated on the Routes and Schedules page by December 7.
Schedule and service adjustments
Line 6 Finch West LRT – Open daily until 10 p.m.
- Line 6 Finch West Light Rail Transit (Line 6 LRT) service will begin operating between Finch West and Humber College stations.
- Line 6 Finch West will provide LRT service to 18 stops along the Finch Avenue West corridor, connecting customers to approximately 30 bus routes and Line 1 Yonge-University at Finch West Station.
- Line 6 Finch West LRT service will operate under “soft opening” conditions with LRT vehicles running from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday until Spring 2026.
- Line 6 Finch LRT service will be replaced by shuttle buses nightly from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. to provide additional time for maintenance during the initial opening period on Line 6 Finch West.
- The last Line 6 vehicles eastbound from Humber College Station and westbound from Finch West Station will depart at approximately 9:49 p.m. every night.
- Temporary service on the 36C Finch West operating between Finch West Station and Humberwood Loop will end with the opening of Line 6.
Line 6 Shuttle Bus service – Runs daily from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- Line 6 Shuttle Bus service will operate every 10 minutes and will only service on-street stops located outside of Line 6 LRT stations along Finch Avenue West.
- The first Line 6 shuttle buses will begin service nightly at 9:59 p.m. eastbound from Humber College Station (Humber College Bus Terminal) and westbound from Finch West Station.
- Line 6 Shuttle Bus service will run until the 336 Finch West bus starts service at 1 a.m.
- Temporary service on the 36C Finch West operating between Finch West Station and Humberwood Loop will end with the opening of Line 6 Finch West.
336 Finch Avenue West - Overnight service on Finch Avenue West from 1 a.m.
- The 336 Finch West Night Bus will operate along Finch Avenue West from 1 a.m. until the start of LRT service.

37S Islington
To align with the opening of Line 6 Finch West Light Rail Transit (LRT) service, additional trips on the 37S Islington will operate during all time periods on weekdays and weekends every 10 minutes or better between Humberwood Loop and Humber College Bus Terminal.
Trips on the 37S Islington during late evening periods on weekdays and weekends will alternate with nightly Line 6 Shuttle Bus service to reduce the number of transfers customers need to travel east of Humber College between Humber College Bus Terminal and Humberwood Loop.

Dundas Station – Renamed to TMU Station

Dundas Station will be renamed TMU Station as approved by the TTC Board through partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University.
As a result of this name change, station signage, stop names, public address announcements, and destination signs on connecting bus and streetcar routes including Line 1 Yonge-University, 505/305 Dundas and 97/320 Yonge will be adjusted.
The renaming of TMU Station aligns with the opening of Line 6 Finch West and the renaming of Eglinton West Station to Cedarvale Station.

Eglinton West Station – Renamed to Cedarvale Station

Eglinton West Station will be renamed Cedarvale Station as approved in the Line 5 Surface Network Plan.
As result of this name change, station signage, stop names, public address announcements, and destination signs on connecting bus routes including Line 1 Yonge-University, 32/332 Eglinton West, 63/363 Ossington, 90 Vaughan,109 Ranee and 164 Castlefield, will be adjusted.
The renaming of Cedarvale Station aligns with the opening of Line 6 Finch West and the renaming of Dundas Station to TMU Station.

Approximately every six weeks, the TTC adjusts service on buses, streetcars and subways. Some of the changes can be small like operating a different type of bus along a route and some can be larger if they are related to planned construction or routing adjustments.

Customers can get real-time bus occupancy data and arrival information for the next three buses at their stop as well as the volume of passengers on those buses by using Transit, Transit Now or Track TTC on our website.
As part of a year-long pilot with Transit app, customers can also see scheduled and unscheduled bus and streetcar diversions live in the app.
