Now Open: Line 6 Finch West

Line 6 Finch West is 11 kilometres of light rail transit connecting customers along Finch Avenue West. It starts at Finch West Station (Keele Street) and goes all the way to Humber College Station (near Hwy 427). Starting December 7, 2025, it will provide customers with convenient and reliable rapid transit service and transform northwest Toronto’s connections to the rest of the city and beyond.
Schedule:
At launch, Line 6 LRT service will run from 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 7:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Sundays. Line 6 Shuttle Bus service will then run until the 336 Finch West bus commences service at 1 a.m. See schedule below for full details.

- Onboard fare payment is not available. Tap your PRESTO, credit or debit card or your mobile wallet BEFORE boarding the vehicle.

What are the hours of operation for Line 6?
Line 6 (Finch West) LRT service will operate weekdays during rush hour approximately every 6 ½ minutes, and every 9 to 10 minutes outside of rush hour. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, Line 6 LRT vehicles will operate between 9 and 13 minutes.
During peak periods Monday to Friday (7 a.m. to 10 a.m., 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.), vehicles will operate approximately every 6 ½ minutes
- During off-peak periods Monday to Friday, vehicles will operate every 9 to 10 minutes
- On Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays, vehicles will operate between 9 and 13 minutes

Why is Line 6 only opening with partial service?
Line 6 Finch West will operate under “soft opening” conditions with vehicles running from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. until further notice. This is to provide additional time for maintenance during the initial opening period on Line 6 Finch West. This will also allow staff to become more familiar with the line and monitor it for any issues while in service.

Why is LRT service being replaced with shuttle buses in the late evenings?
LRT service from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on weekdays and weekends will be implemented at a later date to provide an extended overnight maintenance window. Until then, Line 6 Shuttle Bus service will operate during this time period every 10 minutes. Buses will only serve on-street stops near Line 6 stations.

Real-time prediction information for Line 6 LRT vehicles is available on screens at station stops and platforms. Scheduled time information is available on online maps and transit apps, including the Transit app. Customers can also access scheduled arrival times in the next arriving trains section of our Line 6 Finch West pages.

Who is responsible for maintaining the Line 6 LRT vehicles?
The line’s infrastructure and vehicles are maintained by Mosaic Transit Group (MTG) under contract to Metrolinx. As operator, the TTC works in close partnership with Metrolinx, the City of Toronto, and project partners to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient service, integrating Line 6 Finch West into Toronto’s broader transit.
