TTC service changes starting Sunday, including increased service on key routes and adjustments for construction

Starting Sun., Mar. 31, the TTC will be increasing capacity and improving schedules on several of its busiest bus and streetcar routes to meet growing customer demand and alleviate crowding.

Buses

Starting Sunday, the TTC will be adding bus capacity to improve weekend service on the 9 Bellamy, 24 Victoria Park, 29 Dufferin / 929 Dufferin Express, 35 Jane / 935 Jane Express, and 41 Keele routes.

On weekdays, the TTC is adding bus capacity to meet customer demand on the 35 Jane, 935 Jane Express, and 37 Islington routes, while frequency on the 34 Eglinton East, operating between Eglinton and Kennedy stations, will be enhanced to 10 minutes or sooner all day, every day.

Restoration of 301 Queen Night streetcar

The 301 Queen Night streetcar service will be restored, operating between Long Branch and Neville Park, via Spadina Ave., King St., and Church St., while a new 301B Queen Night bus service will operate between Bathurst St. and Broadview Ave.

Both 301 Queen Night services will run every 30 minutes, providing customers with more overnight transit options.

Service increases on 505 Dundas and 509 Harbourfront

505 Dundas streetcar service will be increased in the afternoon and early evening on Saturdays, as well as in the afternoon on Sundays. 509 Harbourfront streetcar service will see an increase during weekday morning rush hours, providing commuters with more options and improved service capacity during peak times.

TTC service changes starting March 31 to accommodate construction projects

From Sunday, there will be changes to bus routes serving Lawrence West, Pape, and Sheppard-Yonge stations to accommodate construction.

At Lawrence West Station, the City of Toronto will begin construction on the Allen Rd. overpass, necessitating a reassignment of bus boarding locations and the diversion of several bus routes. The 124 Sunnybrook service will be temporarily suspended during construction, with service to Sunnybrook Hospital maintained via the 11C Bayview and 52G Lawrence West. Full details of changes to all bus routes servicing Lawrence West Station can be found at https://www.ttc.ca/riding-the-ttc/Updates/Lawrence-West-Station-partial-bus-bay-closure. These changes are expected to be in place until October 2024.

At Pape Station, the bus terminal will partially close in preparation for Metrolinx construction of the Ontario Line. Some bus routes will serve stops outside the station on Lipton and Pape avenues. Further changes will be implemented in May, including full closure of the bus terminal and substantial route diversions. Details of changes at Pape Station can be found at https://www.ttc.ca/riding-the-ttc/Updates/Pape-Station-construction.

From Mon., Apr. 1 the bus terminal at Sheppard-Yonge Station will be closed until approximately October 2024 for station improvements. Buses will board at temporary on-street stops outside the station. Full details of changes at Sheppard-Yonge Station can be found at https://www.ttc.ca/riding-the-ttc/Updates/Sheppard-Yonge-Bus-Terminal-Closure.
