Lawrence West Station partial bus bay closure


Effective March 31, 2024

Due to City of Toronto construction on the Lawrence Avenue West bridge over Allen Road, on-street bus bays in front of Lawrence West Station and Bay 5 inside the station will be temporarily out of service starting March 31 until December 2024. Timeline subject to change.

Buses will use bays inside Lawrence West Station and Eglinton West Station. Routes will be modified, as follows:

52F Lawrence West and 124 Sunnybrook will be temporarily suspended. Service to Sunnybrook Hospital will be available via 11C Bayview and 52G Lawrence West buses.

11 Bayview

  • 11C Bayview will be extended from Sunnybrook Hospital to Avenue Road (Roe Loop) via Bayview Avenue and Lawrence Avenue, stopping on-street at Lawrence Station to replace 124 Sunnybrook. The route will continue to serve the Sunnybrook Hospital campus from Davisville Station.

52 Lawrence West | 952 Lawrence West Express

  • 52G Lawrence West will be extended to Sunnybrook Hospital via Lawrence Avenue East and Bayview Avenue, stopping on-street at Lawrence Station to replace 124 Sunnybrook.
  • 52G Lawrence West (eastbound) and 952 Lawrence West Express (eastbound) will move inside Lawrence West Station to Bay 3.
  • 52ABD Lawrence West continue to divert to Eglinton Station via Avenue Road and Eglinton Avenue West.
  • 952 Lawrence West Express will divert to Eglinton Station via Lawrence Avenue West and Avenue Road

Helpful tips for customers travelling to Sunnybrook Hospital:

  • To get to Sunnybrook Hospital from Lawrence Station board 11C Bayview or 52G Lawrence West at the temporary on-street stop on Lawrence Avenue at Yonge Street.
  • To get to Sunnybrook Hospital from Davisville Station board 11A or 11C Bayview inside the station.

59 Maple Leaf

  • 59A and 59B Maple Leaf will be extended to Eglinton West Station (Bay 4) via Dufferin Street, Glencairn Avenue and Marlee Avenue.
  • A new temporary stop will be installed on the northwest corner of the intersection at Marlee Avenue and Glencairn Avenue for westbound buses. This new stop will be visible in trip planners and is a short walk to Glencairn Station.
  • Eastbound buses will use the existing stop on the southwest corner of the intersection, also a short walk to Glencairn Station.

Helpful tips:

  • Customers can connect to subway service on Line 1 at Glencairn Station or Eglinton West Station:
  • For customers traveling eastbound, Glencairn Station is the closer subway connection to go northbound towards Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.
