Important information about TTC tickets, tokens and passes

Effective June 2, 2025, TTC day passes, youth/senior tickets and tokens are no longer accepted for fare payment. You can still use cash to pay your fare. You must get a paper transfer from the Operator on a bus, the Fares and Transfers machine on a streetcar or the red Transfers machine in a subway station as your Proof-of-Payment. Refunds, exchanges and credits will not be provided for previously purchased or unused TTC tickets, tokens or day passes.

Post-Secondary Students, Seniors, Youths, and Children

The TTC has different fares for adults, post-secondary students, seniors and youths.

Proof-of-Payment (POP)

Customers who have a valid transfer, pass, POP receipt, or validated TTC ticket can board certain streetcars at the centre or rear doors.

Transfers

Transfers are free and must be obtained where you pay your fare. The use of TTC transfers are subject to specific terms and conditions.
