TTC Post-Secondary Student Photo ID Card
Eligible students required to have an ID card to purchase and use a TTC Post-Secondary Monthly Pass
TTC Post-Secondary Photo ID Cards for the 2025-2026 school year will be available as of August 15, 2025.
Eligible students can purchase a card for $5.25 (payable by Interac debit or exact cash) from the TTC Photo ID Centre at Bathurst Station, or by attending one of the in-person on-campus visits.Students must bring:
- Proof of full-time enrollment as a post-secondary student in a recognized degree or diploma program located in the City of Toronto
- One piece of government issued photo ID or school ID
- Digital screenshots or electronic versions of documents are accepted. Please ensure the quality is clear and sufficient to read all of the details. Student name, post-secondary school name, and dates of study should be visible on the document. Old documents from previous semesters will not be accepted .

Is my Post-Secondary school one of the eligible institutions?
Your school is eligible if it complies with the Post-Secondary Education Choice and Excellence Act, 2000 or Private Career Colleges Act, 2005, and is located within the City of Toronto.

Are Certificate students eligible?
No, Certificate students are not eligible to use the monthly Post-Secondary Monthly Pass. -
When will the TTC Post-Secondary Photo ID cards for the 2025-2026 school year be available?
The TTC Post-Secondary Photo ID Cards for the 2025-2026 school year will be available at the Photo ID Office at Bathurst Station, starting as of August 15, 2025. -
Are there conditions for using a TTC Post-Secondary Photo ID Card?
Yes. The following Conditions of Use are included on the back of the card:
- This card can only be used with a TTC Post-Secondary Monthly Pass.
- This card must be shown to TTC employees when using a TTC Post-Secondary Monthly Pass.
- This card is only valid if the student is enrolled in a recognized degree or diploma program as determined in accordance with TTC Policy (referred to as “Post-Secondary School”), and the institution is located in the City of Toronto.
- This card is not transferable. This card remains the property of the TTC and must be surrendered upon request for inspection. It may be confiscated if the holder violates TTC By-law No. 1, or alters the card in any way. The card will not be returned and you may not apply for a new one.

Can a TTC Post-Secondary Student Photo ID Card be used with a youth cash fare?
No. The TTC Post-Secondary Student Photo ID Card can only be used with the TTC Post-Secondary Monthly Pass. -
Can I still use my TTC Post-Secondary Photo ID Card if I am no longer an eligible Post-Secondary Student?
No. You may not use your TTC Post-Secondary Photo ID Card if you are no longer enrolled in a recognized post-secondary program. -
Is a TTC Post-Secondary Monthly Pass transferable?
Yes. You can allow another post-secondary student to use your TTC Post-Secondary Monthly Pass, as long as you aren’t using it and they have their own TTC Post-Secondary Student Photo ID Card.
