Spadina Station EAP Street-Level Work Update

Update

The Spadina Station (Line 1) Easier Access construction is progressing at Spadina Road and Lowther Avenue.

Phase 1 (Elevator 2 or E2 for the southbound platform) is underway inside the Station on the west side of Spadina Road at Lowther Avenue (see Image 1). The remaining work for this Phase includes completing the elevator shaft, installing the elevator cab inside the elevator shaft, constructing the new staircase next to E2, completing necessary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities, and restoring the street, concourse, and platform-level areas related to the Phase 1 construction.
Phase 2 (Elevator 1 or E1 for the northbound platform) is simultaneously underway inside the Station (see Image 2).

At the street level, the restoration of Phase 1 and the commencement of Phase 2 are expected to occur in Fall 2025.

Work hours

Construction work is expected to occur Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Some work on weekends and overnight may be required.
