Cedarvale Station - Power Upgrades


Effective April 22, 2026 to May 6, 2026

What we are doing and why

The TTC and its contractor will be upgrading the power at Cedarvale Station (formerly Eglinton West Station). During the installation, a temporary diesel generator will be required to provide power to the station. The generator will be located within TTC property and operate between May 1 and 3.

 

 

 

 

Works hours and timeline

TTC crews will set up the work zone and begin working on Wednesday, Aprill 22.

  • April 22–30: Material and equipment delivery
  • April 30: Generator delivered
  • May 1–3: Generator in operation
  • May 4: Generator removed
  • May 6: Projected completion date

 

Motorist, cyclist, and pedestrian impacts

  • All activities will be contained inside the station.
  • Customer access is maintained throughout the station.

 

TTC Service Changes

  • Access to the station and TTC service will be maintained.
  • Buses in Cedarvale Station will continue to operate.
  • 164 Castlefield and 109 Ranee bus stops will be temporarily relocated within Cedarvale Station.
