Toronto Caribbean Carnival 2026: Moving to the Rhythm of Toronto
Toronto Caribbean Carnival is a celebration of Caribbean culture that brings people together through music, movement, and tradition.
For the fourth consecutive year, the TTC is proud to take part in the Toronto Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade. This year, inspired by the Toronto Caribbean Carnival theme, “We Move the Carnival,” the TTC will celebrate with the message “Moving to the Rhythm of Toronto," recognizing both the energy that shapes the city and our role in keeping it moving.
The TTC is here to help connect customers, employees and communities to one of the city’s most anticipated annual celebrations. Through our participation in the Grand Parade, a Carnival-themed wrapped bus and hundreds of TTC employees marching together, we are celebrating the people, culture and connections that help move Toronto every day.

The TTC Caribbean Carnival Rhythm Bus
Inspired by this year’s theme, the TTC’s 2026 Caribbean Carnival Rhythm Bus celebrates the movement, energy and cultural impact of the Toronto Caribbean Carnival while highlighting the TTC’s role in connecting people to the communities, events and celebrations that make Toronto unique.
Customers may see the Caribbean Carnival Rhythm Bus travelling through the city and appearing as part of the Toronto Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade.
The Grand Parade
On Saturday, August 1, TTC employees will proudly march in the Toronto Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade, joining one of North America's largest celebrations of Caribbean culture.
The Grand Parade is the signature event of Toronto Caribbean Carnival, featuring music, dance, masquerade bands, elaborate costumes and thousands of participants and spectators.
The TTC is proud to join the parade and move together while celebrating Caribbean culture as a vital part of Toronto’s identity and the city’s vibrant rhythm.
Take the TTC to the Grand Parade – Saturday, August 1, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Heading to the Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade? The TTC can get you there quickly and safely with extra buses between Dufferin Station and Exhibition Place and increased service on Line 1 Yonge-University, Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, and the 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst streetcar routes.

Service changes for the Grand Parade
There are multiple service changes on Saturday, August 1. Please check your route in advance using the Trip Planner.
- 80 Queensway: 80 Queensway eastbound buses will divert along The Queensway to Roncesvalles Avenue and Howard Park Avenue from Saturday, August 1 at 12:01 a.m. to Sunday, August 2 at 4 a.m.
- 307 Bathurst: 307 Bathurst buses will divert southbound from Fort York Boulevard via Fleet Street and Manitoba Drive to Exhibition Loop from Saturday, August 1 at 12:01 a.m. to Sunday, August 2 at 4 a.m.
- 503 Kingston Road: 503 Kingston Road streetcar service will be extended to Sunnyside Loop via King Street and The Queensway from Saturday, August 1 at 8 a.m. to Sunday, August 2 at 1 a.m.
- 504B King: 504B King streetcars will be redirected to Sunnyside Loop from Saturday, August 1 at 6:30 a.m. to Sunday, August 2 at 12:30 a.m.
- 510 Spadina: 510 Spadina streetcars will turn back at Spadina and Queens Quay on Saturday, August 1 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Please board the 509 Harbourfront streetcar to continue to Union Station.

Directions to Exhibition Place, 200 Princes' Boulevard
Here are several ways the TTC can take you to the Grand Parade:
- Option 1: Take Line 2 to Dufferin Station, then take the Carnival Express Shuttle, 929 Dufferin Express or the 29 Dufferin bus southbound to Dufferin Gate Loop.
- Option 2: Take Line 1 to Union Station, then take the 509 Harbourfront streetcar to Exhibition Loop at Manitoba Drive.
- Option 3: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station, then take the 511 Bathurst streetcar to Exhibition Loop.
Please note: 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst streetcars will not stop eastbound or westbound at Fleet Street and Strachan Avenue.

Accessible Wheel-Trans service
On demand Wheel-Trans service will be available throughout the Caribbean Carnival including the Grand Parade (Saturday, August 1). Trips can be prebooked up to seven days in advance.
Visitors to Toronto with access to a specialized transit service in their home province, territory or country can access the TTC Wheel-Trans Service for up to 30 days without having to apply to Wheel-Trans. Learn more on the Visitors to Toronto page.

Whether you’re attending Caribbean Carnival events, travelling downtown or celebrating with friends, your safety is a top priority.
Customers who require support at any time on the system can:
- Speak with TTC staff or a Special Constable.
- Download the SafeTTC app for free from the Apple App or Google Play stores. The mobile app offers a quick and discreet method for reporting harassment, safety concerns or suspicious activity directly to the TTC’s Transit Control Centre.
- Call 911 in the event of an emergency.
