King Street West service changes
Starting February 18 until December 2024, the TTC and City of Toronto will be replacing watermains and renewing streetcar tracks along King Street West between Dufferin and Shaw streets.
The following changes will be made to the affected routes:
63 Ossington
The 63 Ossington will be extended to replace 504 King streetcars between Shaw Street and Roncesvalles Avenue. Buses will operate both ways along Liberty Street., East Liberty Street and King Street West between Dufferin Street and Roncesvalles Ave.
501A/501C Queen
501A Queen streetcars will operate between McCaul Loop and Dufferin Gate Loop via Dufferin Street until 10 p.m. After 10 p.m., 501C Queen streetcars will operate between McCaul Loop and Long Branch Loop operating along Queen Street.
504A/504B/304 King
504 King streetcars will divert onto Queen Street West between Roncesvalles Avenue and Shaw Street. 504A King streetcars will continue to operate between Dundas West Station and Distillery Loop. 504B King streetcars will operate between Humber Loop and Broadview Station before 10 p.m. After 10 p.m., 504B King streetcars will operate between Roncesvalles Avenue and Broadview Station.
304 King streetcars will divert onto Queen Street West. between Roncesvalles Avenue and Shaw Street, operating between Dundas West Station and Broadview Station.
508 Lake Shore
508 Lake Shore streetcars will divert onto Queen Street between Roncesvalles Avenue and Shaw Street to regular route.
Helpful tip: If you are travelling on King Street West between Roncesvalles Avenue and Shaw Street, you must take a 63 Ossington bus, which will extend form its usual end point of Liberty Village, along King Street West to Roncesvalles Avenue.
Customer Service Agents will be available at Queen and Roncesvalles Avenue for the first two weeks in February to help customers adjust to this change.
Wheel-Trans vehicles will continue to operate on King Street West between Roncesvalles Avenue and Dufferin Street, and in all areas where traffic is permitted.
Construction is expected to take place in multiple phases and is subject to change. Check this page regularly for updates. Work is expected to be completed by December 2024.
