Toronto Pride 2026: Proud to move Toronto

June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate Toronto’s diverse 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. At the TTC, creating a transit system where everyone feels welcomed, respected and safe is part of our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve. This is done through initiatives like the SafeTTC app, increased staff presence during major events and ongoing work being done guided by the TTC’s Corporate Plan, Moving Toronto, Connecting Communities, the Anti-Racism Strategy and the Community Safety, Security and Well-Being Plan. These plans outline the TTC’s continued efforts to foster inclusion, strengthen community partnerships and help ensure customers and employees can safely and confidently travel on the TTC.
As a proud, longtime partner of Pride Toronto, the TTC continues to support spaces where people feel welcomed, seen and celebrated. This year’s 2026 wrapped bus proudly carries our message, “Proud to move Toronto,” alongside the message, “Together, there’s no stopping us,” reflecting the connections, communities and shared experiences that move our city forward every day.
Throughout June, customers can ride the Pride Bus, visit special Pride installations at Wellesley Station and take the TTC to Pride celebrations happening across Toronto. Every day, thousands of people from all backgrounds use the TTC to travel across the city, and we are proud to help move Toronto forward together.
Pride on the TTC
The Pride Bus
During the month of June, the Pride Bus will operate on the 94 Wellesley route. It will also appear at the Pride Parade, the Trans March and the Dyke March.
The 2026 Pride Bus highlights important milestones in both TTC and Toronto history, including:
- 1989: Sexual orientation became explicitly protected in the TTC’s Equal Opportunity Policy to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees and prevent discrimination.
- 2001: Toronto became part of the landmark movement toward same-sex marriage equality in Canada with the world’s first legal same-sex marriage ceremonies at the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto.
- 2008: The TTC Pride Bus made its first appearance in Toronto’s Pride Parade.
We invite you to not only ride the Pride Bus, but to take the TTC to Pride celebrations happening across the city.
Wellesley Station Mural and Kiosk Wrap
Throughout the month of June, customers travelling through Wellesley Station on Line 1 (Yonge-University) can immerse themselves in a special partnership between the TTC and Pride Toronto, which includes a vibrant wall mural located outside the station entrance and kiosk wrap installed inside the station fare gates.
