Victoria Park to Warden stations - track maintenance

Effective nightly from August 2025 to mid September 2025

What we are doing and why

Trains are currently operating at a slower speed between Victoria Park and Warden stations while track maintenance and upgrades are underway.

For safety, this work can only be conducted overnight when the subway is not operating. The TTC does most of its subway maintenance at the conclusion of subway service each night.

The following activities are expected between Victoria Park and Warden stations:

  • Ballast (stone) delivery and tamping areas between Victoria Park and Warden stations.
  • Subway work-cars carrying equipment and material will be evident between Victoria Park and Warden stations.
  • The use of lighting and train horns are expected during this work.

Night Work

Work will occur when the subway is not operating from approximately 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. While efforts will be made to keep noise levels to a minimum, some noise will be unavoidable.

Maintaining subway infrastructure in a state of good repair is critical to ensuring a safe, reliable transit system. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve transit in Toronto.
