Overnight Vent Shaft Cleaning Near Dupont Station

Effective June 14, 2025 to June 15, 2025

What we are doing and why

The subway ventilation equipment at Dupont Station will be replaced as it has reached the end of its life cycle. As part of preliminary work, drains inside the vent shaft south of Dupont Street on Spadina Road must be cleaned. The cleaning involves the operation of a vacuum truck, which will power wash the drains.

Crews will return to complete this cleaning following additional work required in the vent shaft.

What to expect

Some noise is expected from this work.
There may be lane reductions during the work.

Work hours

9:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14 to 6:00 a.m on Sunday, June 15.

TTC service

This work will not have impacts on the subway or bus services.
