McCowan Yard Demolition

Demolition and removal of infrastructure at McCowan Yard
Effective June 1, 2026

Timeline: As early as June 1, 2026 – Q2 2027

What we are doing, and why?

The TTC is dismantling the existing train infrastructure at McCowan Yard, 1720 Ellesmere Road. This site was previously used to store, clean, and maintain the trains for the decommissioned Line 3 Scarborough Rapid Transit (SRT). The area is being prepared for the future construction of a new TTC operations building.
