King Street West from Bathurst to Spadina - Essential Concrete and Rail Repairs
Effective July 6, 2025 to July 12, 2025
What we are doing and why
Starting as early as Sunday, July 6*, TTC track crews will be conducting essential repairs to sections of streetcar rail and concrete on King Street West between Bathurst Street and Spadina Avenue.
These repairs are part of TTC’s preventative maintenance program to ensure safe and reliable streetcar operations. Vehicle traffic and curbside patios are expected to be maintained during this work.

Work activities, hours, and timeline
Crews will begin setting up work zones on Sunday, July 6.
Work activities will include concrete saw-cutting, concrete breaking/removal, rail replacement, and placement of new concrete. Concrete breaking/removal work will be conducted during the daytime.
Some activities will beconducted around-the-clock to ensure quality installation of new rail and concrete.
Noise and lights from construction vehicles/machinery should be expected.
Work is scheduled to be completed by Saturday, July 12.
Motorist, cyclist, and pedestrian impacts
All work will be contained within the streetcar allowance (centre lanes) on King Street West.
Traffic on King Street West will be maintained around the work zones.
The location of the work zones may inhibit left turns.
Following the completion of work, all traffic restrictions and the work zone will be cleared.
A paid duty officer and/or flag persons will be on-site to facilitate traffic movements as required.
Pedestrian and driveway access will be maintained.
