Finch Station - roof repairs at Pemberton Avenue entrance
Effective April 7, 2025until summer2025
What we are doing and why
Starting as early as April 7, 2025, the TTC will be conducting roof repairs at Finch Station’s Pemberton Avenue entrance. The entrance is located on the north side of Pemberton Avenue, west of Kenneth Avenue.
Crews will create a safe work zone and start installing guard rails along the perimeter of the roof in preparation. The work will include the removal and installation of new roof flashings along the roof wall, removal of the old roof material, and application of new roof material.
The Pemberton Avenue entrance and customer access to the station will be maintained during this work.
What to expect during construction
Material deliveries from TTC’s roof supplier will be conducted between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. multiple times throughout the project. Some supplies will be stored on the roof. Noise will be kept to a minimum as best as possible.
Odour and dust
The traditional method of liquid asphalt application (asphalt kettle) is not being used which means there will be less odour. The roofing system used is a 3-ply membrane applied with heat.
Dust will be controlled as much as possible.
Work hours
Work will typically take place during regular daytime hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and may extend if needed. Delivery of materials/supplies will occur between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.
Thank you for your patience as we work to improve transit in Toronto.
