2026 Holiday Service

Service schedules and start/end times vary between different routes.

Schedules for bus and streetcar routes are posted on each individual route page. Routes have weekday, Saturday, Sunday and holiday schedules, and may have different service start and end times.

For subway first and last train times, please check each station’s page. The subway (Line 1 Yonge-University, Line 2 Bloor-Danforth and Line 4 Sheppard) operates from approximately 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday and approximately 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Sundays. Exact times vary by station.

Line 6 Finch West operates from approximately 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 7:30 to 10 p.m. on Sundays. Line 6 Shuttle Bus service operates nightly from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Service on holidays

Holiday service is generally operated on Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day and Boxing Day.

On these days, all TTC routes will operate on their Sunday service schedules, but will start earlier, at approximately 6 a.m.

Sunday service is operated on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Subway service will start around 8 a.m. and will run every 4-5 minutes.

  • Friday, December 25, 2026 (Christmas Day): Sunday service
  • Saturday, December 26, 2026 (Boxing Day): Holiday service
  • Friday, January 1, 2027 (New Year’s Day): Sunday service

Overnight service – Blue Night Network

The Blue Night Network operates on most major routes (transit stops are marked with a reflective blue band) every morning from about 1:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Service is provided every 30 minutes or better. Blue Night Network routes have white and blue route lozenges and 300-series route numbers.

Service change dates

The TTC also makes service changes throughout the year, to adjust routes and schedules to adjust to ridership demand.

Service changes are made approximately every four to six weeks, or approximately 10 times a year, starting on the following dates:
