Doors Open Toronto 2024

Join us at Bay Lower Station on Saturday, May 25!

As part of Doors Open Toronto 2024, we are giving the public a unique opportunity to explore Bay Lower Station, the station beneath the station, where iconic movies like “Suicide Squad,” “Total Recall,” and numerous television shows, music videos and commercials have been filmed since it was closed as an in-service subway station in 1966.

Guests of all ages can enjoy a variety of activities, go on self-guided tours, explore TR subway trains and take photos throughout the station. TTC staff and volunteers will be on-site to answer questions.

TTC branded merchandise will be available for purchase at the TTC Shop pop-up on the concourse level of Bay Station.

When: Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The last entry into the event will be at 4:30 p.m.

Where: Bay Station – Cumberland Street entrance 1240 Bay Street, Toronto, ON  M5R 2A7

Take Line 2 to Bay Station and follow the station wayfinding signage to make your way from platform level to the Cumberland Street entrance.

The Cumberland Street entrance is on the south side of Cumberland Street, east of Avenue road and west of Bay Street.

TTC greeters will guide visitors to the entrance to Bay Lower Station.

There is no parking at Bay Station. There may be public parking lots in the vicinity of the station.

Accessibility note: The Cumberland Street entrance at Bay Station is not accessible. From street level, access to the concourse level is via stairs. From concourse level to the in-service platform, access is via stairs, escalator and elevator. From in-service platform to Bay Lower Station, access is via stairs only. There are no accessible washrooms. The TTC pop-up shop on the Bay Station concourse level is accessible via the Cumberland Terrace elevator and ramp, located at 2 Bloor St. W.
