Subway service changes

Line 1

St. Clair West to St Andrew – Early closure July 18 

Subway service on Line 1 between St Clair West and St Andrew stations will be replaced by shuttle buses starting at 11 p.m. Friday, July 18 until the end of service at approximately 2 a.m.  

TTC staff and Wheel-Trans service will be available for customers requiring assistance. 

Dupont, Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket and connect to surface routes.  

Here are alternative surface and subway routes for customers to connect to Line 1*:  

St Clair West Station – Take a 512 St Clair streetcar eastbound to St Clair Station.  

Queen’s Park Station – Take a 506 Carlton streetcar eastbound to College Station. 

St Patrick Station – Take a 505 Dundas streetcar eastbound to Dundas Station.  

Osgoode Station – Take a 501 Queen streetcar eastbound to Yonge St and Adelaide St West. From there, you have two options: 

  • Option 1: Walk for approximately two minutes south to King Station.  
  • Option 2: Walk approximately five minutes north to Queen Station. 

Customers travelling on Line 2 can connect to Line 1 at Bloor-Yonge Station. 

*With the exception of College Station, all of the stations listed above are accessible. 

Lawrence West to St Andrew – Full weekend closure July – 19-20 

Subway service on Line 1 between Lawrence West and St Andrew stations will be replaced by shuttle buses from Saturday, July 19 to Sunday, July 20 for planned track work. 

TTC staff and Wheel-Trans service will be available for customers requiring assistance. 

Dupont, Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket and connect to surface routes.  

Here are alternative surface and subway routes for customers to connect to Line 1*:  

St Clair West Station – Take a 512 St Clair streetcar eastbound to St Clair Station.  

Queen’s Park Station – Take a 506 Carlton streetcar eastbound to College Station. 

St Patrick Station – Take a 505 Dundas streetcar eastbound to Dundas Station.  

Osgoode Station – Take a 501 Queen streetcar eastbound to Yonge St and Adelaide St West. From there, you have two options: 

  • Option 1: Walk for approximately two minutes south to King Station.  
  • Option 2: Walk approximately five minutes north to Queen Station. 

Customers travelling on Line 2 can connect to Line 1 at Bloor-Yonge Station.

Regular subway service will resume on Line 1 on Monday, July 21. 

A note to customers: While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the end of service each night, it continues to require early weeknight and weekend closures to complete state-of-good-repair work.

Bus and streetcar service changes  

Please note the following temporary diversions to the following routes to accommodate weekend activities: 

506/306 Carlton streetcars – July 19 at 1 a.m. to July 21 at 4 a.m. 

Diversions both eastbound and westbound between Parliament Street and Cowell Avenue for the Festival of South Asia.  

300 Bloor-Danforth Night Bus – July 19 at 8 a.m. to July 21 at 3 a.m. 

Diversions both ways on Lansdowne Avenue, Dupont and Dufferin streets due to the BIG on Bloor Festival. 

132 Milner / 133 Neilson / 39A to Neilson – July 19 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

These routes will be diverted for the Junior Carnival Parade taking place at Malvern Community Centre and Neilson Park

    • Friday, July 11: beginning at 6:00 p.m. 
    • Saturday, July 12: beginning at 3:00 p.m. 
    • Sunday, July 13: beginning at 1:30 p.m.

    Here are a few ways the TTC can take you there: 

    • Option 1: Take a 501 Queen streetcar to Queen Street East at Woodbine Avenue. From there, it’s approximately a 7-minute walk to the park. 
    • Option 2: Take Line 2 to Woodbine Station. From there, take a 92 Woodbine South bus and exit at 1816 Lake Shore Boulevard East. From there, it’s approximately a 4-minute walk to the park.
    • Option 3: Take Line 2 to Coxwell Station. From there, take a 22 Coxwell South bus and exit at Queen Street East and Kingston Road. From there, it’s approximately a 15-minute walk to the park.

    Dream in High Park – “Romeo & Juliet”
    High Park Amphitheatre, 1873 Bloor Street West

    Dream in High Park returns for its 2025 summer run. Grab your family, pack a picnic and enjoy the production of the ever-popular “Romeo & Juliet.” 

    Nightly start times at 7:00 or 8:00 p.m., outdoor venue, weather permitting, running until August 31, 2025.

    Want to attend the show? The TTC can take you there!

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to High Park Station. From the main entrance, walk west to High Park Avenue, then walk south to the lights at Bloor Street West and High Park Avenue. Continue through the lights, staying on the sidewalk to the left on Colborne Lodge Drive. Follow signage to get to the amphitheatre. In total, it is an approximately 20-minute walk to the amphitheatre from the station.
    • Option 2: Take the 501 Queen streetcar to the stop at the south side of High Park on The Queensway at Colborne Lodge Drive. From there, walk along Colborne Lodge Drive to the intersection at Centre Road where you will see the path to the amphitheatre.
    • Option 3: On Saturday and Sunday, the 203 High Park seasonal bus route will operate from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. between High Park Station and Colborne Lodge Drive. The last stop on the route is Colborne Lodge Drive at Centre Road where you will see the path to the amphitheatre.

    Honda Indy
    Exhibition Place, 100 Princes' Blvd

    Get ready for the roar of engines as the best in Indy racing takes over the streets at Exhibition Place this weekend. Fan Friday offers general admission courtesy of the Ontario Honda Dealers Association through a voluntary donation, with proceeds going to local charities. 

    • Friday, July 18: 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Saturday, July 19: 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Sunday, July 20: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    With planned road closures and busy weekend traffic, why drive to the event when the TTC can take you to the heart of the action! There will be additional service on the 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst streetcars on all three days of the Indy.

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station. From there, take a 511 Bathurst streetcar and exit at Exhibition Loop. 
    • Option 2: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a 509 Harbourfront streetcar and exit at Exhibition Loop. 
    • Option 3: Take Line 2 to Ossington Station. From there, take a 63 Ossington bus southbound towards Liberty Village and exit at Strachan Avenue at East Liberty Street. From there, it’s approximately a 10-minute walk to Exhibition Place.

    Lavazza IncluCity Festival
    Distillery District, 55 Mill Street 

    The Lavazza IncluCity Festival wraps up this weekend, offering one-of-a-kind events that span from design to music, and from art to cinema, promoting Canada as dynamic cultural and artistic destination.

    For those attending the festival, there are several ways the TTC can take you there: 

    • Option 1: From Front St West at Bay St East Side near Union Station, board an eastbound 121 Esplanade-River bus. Exit at Front St East at Cherry St. From there, it’s a 5-minute walk to the Distillery District. 
    • Option 2: From Front St West at Bay St East Side near Union Station, board an eastbound 202 Cherry Beach bus. Exit at Front St East at Cherry St. From there, it’s a 5-minute walk to the Distillery District. 
    • Option 3: Board an eastbound 504C King replacement bus to the Distillery. The 504C stops at both St Andrew and King subway stations along Line 1. Exit the 504C King replacement bus at Mill and Trinity streets. From there, it is a 1-minute walk to the Distillery District. 
    • Option 4: Take Line 2 to Castle Frank Station. From there, board a southbound 65 Parliament bus. Exit at Mill and Parliament streets. From there, it is approximately a 3-minute walk to the Distillery District. 

    Union Summer – various events throughout the summer
    Union Station, 65 Front Street West

    Union Summer presented by TD returns to the plaza in front of Union Station from June 25 – August 10 with 47 days of free outdoor experiences featuring dynamic music, live performances, curated food vendors, plus beat-the-heat beverages and desserts, all to celebrate summer in the city. Gather, connect and experience the food, concerts and a whole lot more, just outside Union Station.

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station, exit to the south side of Front Street West and the stage is a short distance from there. 
    • Option 2: Take the 510A Spadina streetcar to the stop at Union Station. 
    • Option 3: Take the 504C or 504D King replacement bus to St Andrew Station. From there, it’s about a 7-minute walk south to Union Station.
    • Option 4: Take a southbound 19 Bay bus to Front Street West at Bay Street. From there, it’s about a 3-minute walk west to Union Station.

    BIG on Bloor Festival
    Bloordale Village, Bloor Street from Dufferin Street to Landsdowne Avenue

    This section of Bloor Street shuts down to vehicles and comes alive as thousands of visitors enjoy everything Bloordale has to offer. Celebrate the community magic, creativity and diversity through arts and culture, music, vendors, and the businesses that make up this vibrant community.

    • Saturday, July 19: noon to midnight
    • Sunday, July 20: noon to 9 p.m.

    Heading to the event? The TTC can get you there!

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to Dufferin Station or Lansdowne Station. From there, you’re just steps away from the action.
    • Option 2: Take the 29 Dufferin/929 Dufferin Express bus to Dufferin Station and walk a few minutes to the festival entrance at Dufferin Street and Bloor Street West.

    Please note: The 300 Bloor Danforth Night Bus will divert both ways on Lansdowne Avenue, Dupont and Dufferin streets from 8 a.m. on July 19 to 3 a.m. on July 21 to accommodate this event. Full details here.

    TD Festival of South Asia 
    Gerrard Street East from Coxwell Avenue to Glenside Avenue

    Family fun, fabulous food, shopping, and live entertainment takes over the Gerrard India Bazaar, North America’s largest south Asian marketplace!

    • Saturday, July 19: noon to 11 p.m.
    • Sunday, July 20: noon to 11 p.m.

    The TTC can take you there! You can get to the heart of the action taking the following routes:

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to Coxwell Station. From there, take a southbound 22 Coxwell bus. Exit at Coxwell Avenue at Lower Gerrard Street – right at the eastern entrance to the festival. Alternatively, from Coxwell Station, it’s approximately a 10-minute walk south to Gerrard Street East at Coxwell Avenue to reach the east side entrance of the festival.
    • Option 2: Take Line 2 to Greenwood Station. From there, take a southbound 31 Greenwood bus to Greenwood Avenue at Gerrard Street East. From there, it’s approximately a 3-minute walk to Gerrard Street East at Glenside Avenue to reach the west side entrance of the TD Festival. Alternatively, from Greenwood Station, it’s approximately a 20-minute walk south to Gerrard Street East at Glenside Avenue to reach the west side entrance of the festival. 
    • Option 3: If you’re travelling eastbound from downtown, take the 506/306 Carlton streetcar to Parliament Street (east side). Transfer to a 506/306 Carlton replacement bus to the stop at Gerrard Street East and Greenwood Avenue. From there, it’s approximately a 3-minute walk to Gerrard Street East at Glenside Avenue to reach the west side entrance of the festival.
    • Option 4: From Main Street Station, take the 506/306 Carlton westbound to Gerrard Street East and Greenwood Avenue taking you right to the hart of the festival. 

    Please note: 506/306 Carlton streetcars will divert during the festival, with some service replaced by shuttle buses. Diversions are planned from 1 a.m. on July 19 to 4 a.m. on July 21. Full details here.

  • Friday, July 18

    Wiz Khalifa & Sean Paul – Good Vibes Only Tour with Special Guest DaBaby – 6:30 p.m.

    For those attending the concert, here are two ways the TTC can take you there:

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station. From there, take a southbound 511 Bathurst streetcar to Exhibition Loop. Exit at Exhibition Loop, then follow directional signage to Budweiser Stage.
    • Option 2: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there take a westbound 509 Harbourfront streetcar to Exhibition Loop. Exit at Exhibition Loop, then follow directional signage to Budweiser Stage.

    Toronto Blue Jays vs. San Francisco Giants – 7:07 p.m.
    Rogers Centre, 1 Blue Jays Way

    Heading to the game? The TTC can take you there!

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, exit the station and walk west along the south side of Front St West to Rogers Centre. Alternatively, you can take the SkyWalk indoor path connecting Union Station to the CN Tower and Rogers Centre.
    • Option 2: If you are travelling on bus or streetcar routes in the downtown core, the 510 Spadina, 19 Bay, 97 Yonge, 114 Queens Quay East and 121 Esplanade-River routes will get you to and from the game. 

    AFC Toronto vs. Montreal Roses FC – 7:30 p.m.
    York Lions Stadium, 230 Ian MacDonald Boulevard, North York

    Take Line 1 to Pioneer Village Station. From there, it’s approximately a 5-minute walk to the venue. 

  • Saturday, July 19

    Harbourfront Farmers Market – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    The Commons at Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West

    Enjoy seasonal produce, meats and products with Ontario's farmers and small-batch producers at the Harbourfront Farmers Market Saturday until September 27.

    For those heading to the Farmers Market, here a few ways the TTC can take you there:

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a 510 Spadina streetcar and exit at Queens Quay West and Harbourfront Centre. It is an approximately 1-minute walk to the venue from the stop. 
    • Option 2: Take Line 2 to Spadina Station. From there, take a 510 Spadina streetcar and exit at Queens Quay West and Harbourfront Centre. It is an approximately 1-minute walk to the venue from the stop. 
    • Option 3: From St Andrew Station, it’s a 15-minute walk south to the venue.

    Toronto Caribbean Carnival – Junior Carnival and Family Day – 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    Malvern Community Centre & Neilson Park, Scarborough

    Caribana is right around the corner, and the Junior Carnival and Family Day is a great way to kick off the fun. This celebration of Caribbean culture features a mini Carnival, with young masqueraders dancing in their brightly coloured costumes. The parade starts at Malvern Community Centre and ends at Neilson Park.

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to Kennedy Station. From there, take a northbound 133 Neilson bus. Exit at the stop at Neilson Road and Sewells Road. From there, it’s about a 4-minute walk east to the community centre.
    • Option 2: From Scarborough Centre Station, take a northbound 133 Neilson bus. Exit at the stop at Neilson Road and Sewells Road. From there, it’s about a 4-minute walk east to the community centre.

    Please note: The following route diversions scheduled for July 19 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. to accommodate the event:

    Unity Fest – noon to 9 p.m.
    Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West

    Canada’s national hip-hop festival returns for its 17th year! Experience dance battles, live hip-hop performances, a local food vendor marketplace, networking events and vibes for all ages.

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a 510 Spadina streetcar and exit at Queens Quay West and Harbourfront Centre. It is an approximately 1-minute walk to the venue from the stop.

    • Option 3: From St Andrew Station, it’s a 15-minute walk south to the venue.

    Black Creek Community Farm Festival – 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    Black Creek Community Farm 4929 Jane Street, North York

    Join in all the family fun as the Black Creek Community Farm celebrates community and urban agriculture with a day of fun activities for the entire family to enjoy.

    There’s no parking on site, so the TTC is the best way to take you there:

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Pioneer Village Station. From there, board a southbound 35 Jane bus and exit at Jane Street at Hulmar Drive. From there, it’s just a short distance to Black Creek Community Farm. 
    • Option 2: Take Line 1 to Finch Station. From there, take a westbound 960 Steeles West Express to Steeles Avenue West at Jane Street West Side. From there, it’s a short distance to Black Creek Community Farm. 

    Arts Etobicoke Community Celebration – 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. 
    Michael Power Park, 5055 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke

    The Etobicoke community joins together to celebrate with live music, dance, arts activities, and free food!

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to Kipling Station. From there, take an eastbound 40 Junction-Dundas West bus. Exit at Dundas Street West at Royalavon Crescent and you’re right at the park.
    • Option 2: Take Line 2 to Islington Station. From there, take an eastbound 149 Etobicoke-Bloor Accessibility Shuttle Bus to Bloor Street West at Resurrection Road. From there, it’s approximately a 5-minute walk to the park. 

    Toronto Blue Jays vs. San Francisco Giants – 3:07 p.m.

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a 510 Spadina streetcar and exit at Queens Quay West and Harbourfront Centre. It is an approximately 1-minute walk to the venue from the stop.
    • Option 2: Take Line 2 to Spadina Station. From there, take a 510 Spadina streetcar and exit at Queens Quay West and Harbourfront Centre. It is an approximately 1-minute walk to the venue from the stop.
    • Option 3: From St Andrew Station, it’s a 15-minute walk south to the venue.

    National Youth Orchestra Canada 65th Anniversary Tour – 7:30 p.m.

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Museum Station. Exit to University Avenue and walk a block north to Bloor Street West. From there, walk a few minutes east to the Royal Conservatory of Music, on the south side of Bloor. Follow the signs to Koerner Hall. 
    • Option 2: Take Line 2 to St George Station. Cross to the south side of Bloor Street West at Bedford Road. From there, it is a short walk east to the Royal Conservatory of Music. Follow the signs to Koerner Hall.

    Toronto FC vs. Nashville SC – 8:30 p.m.
    BMO Field, 170 Princes’ Blvd, Exhibition Place

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station. From there, take a southbound 511 Bathurst streetcar to Exhibition Loop. Exit at Exhibition Loop, then follow directional signage to BMO Field.
    • Option 2: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a westbound 509 Harbourfront streetcar towards Exhibition Loop. Exit at Exhibition Loop, then follow directional signage to BMO Field.

    Christie Pits Film Festival – “Before I Change My Mind” (sundown)
    Christie Pits Park, 750 Bloor St West

    Bring your blankets and chairs and gather together to sit on the berms at Christie Pits park and enjoy movies after dark Sunday from July 6 to August 24.

    Concessions open at 6 p.m., showtime starts at sundown.
