501A Queen streetcar service returning to Humber Loop


Effective October 29

Effective Sunday October 29, 501A Queen streetcars are returning to service between Humber Loop and McCaul Loop, with the end of construction at the King Street West, Queen Street West, The Queensway and Roncesvalles Avenue intersection.

501L Queen replacement buses will operate between Long Branch Loop and Humber Loop, via Lake Shore Boulevard, Park Lawn Road and The Queensway. You can transfer between buses and streetcars at Humber Loop. Full streetcar service along this portion of the route is anticipated to return in the coming weeks.

The eastbound stop at The Queensway and Glendale Avenue will reopen, allowing service to resume at that stop providing direct access to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

New 501M Queen replacement buses will operate both ways from Humber Loop to north Park Lawn Road via Lake shore Boulevard, Marine Parade Drive, Park Lawn Road and The Queensway, to provide additional service through the Humber Bay Shores Neighbourhood. Service will operate every 8 to 10 minutes from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., daily.

301 Queen replacement buses will continue to operate between Long Branch Loop and Neville Park Loop.

In addition to these changes, effective Monday, October 30, 508 Lake Shore streetcars will return to service between Long Branch Loop and downtown via King Street to Queen and Parliament streets. These streetcars will provide customers with direct service to and from Long Branch Loop, without having to transfer vehicles. Streetcars will operate eastbound to downtown between 6 a.m. and 8:15 a.m., and westbound from downtown between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., approximately every 20 minutes.

501L Queen and 501M Queen replacement buses will not appear on transit apps but service will operate every 10 minutes
