TTC holiday service hours
As we approach the end of the year, the TTC will continue to take where you need to go throughout the holiday season and into 2026.
We will be making some adjustments to our schedule for subway, light rail transit, bus and streetcar service on statutory holidays during the festive period.
Here is what you need to know:
The TTC will operate on a holiday schedule for Christmas Day (December 25), Boxing Day (December 26) and New Year’s Day (January 1).

Thursday, December 25 – Christmas Day
The TTC will operate on a Sunday schedule with most surface routes and subway service starting at 8 a.m. Subway service will operate every 4-5 minutes.
Line 6 Finch West Service:
- Light Rail Transit: 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Shuttle Bus Service: 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- 336 Finch West: 1 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Friday, December 26 – Boxing Day
Surface and subway routes will operate on their Sunday service schedules, but will start earlier, at approximately 6 a.m.
Line 6 Finch West Service:
- Light Rail Transit: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Shuttle Bus Service: 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- 336 Finch West: 1 a.m. to 6 a.m.

Wednesday, December 31 – New Year’s Eve
The TTC will be free from 7 p.m. December 31, 2025 until 8 a.m., January 1, 2026!
During this period, customers do not need to tap their PRESTO card or Ticket, debit or credit card, or deposit a TTC ticket, token or cash in a fare box. The fare gates at stations will be open for people to enter through.
- Service will be adjusted on Line 1 (Yonge-University) and Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) through the early evening and late evening time periods.
- Subway service will be extended to operate until approximately 3 a.m.
- Service will be extended on most streetcar and bus routes until approximately 3 a.m.
- Blue Night Network service will operate from approximately 3 a.m. until 8 a.m.
Line 6 Finch West Service:
- Light Rail Transit: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Shuttle Bus Service: 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
- 336 Finch West: 2:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

The TTC will operate on a Sunday schedule with most surface routes and subway service starting at 8 a.m. Subway service will operate every 4-5 minutes.

Customer Service Hours
The TTC’s Customer Service Centre will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. This includes the following:
- Customer Service
- Customer Information
- The Lost Articles Office at Bay Station
- The Photo ID Centre at Bathurst Station
- The Customer Service account on X @ttchelps
Regular hours will resume on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Please note: The Photo ID Centre will be closed on Saturday, December 27.
Customer Service Centre hours will be adjusted for Christmas Eve (December 24) and New Year’s Eve (December 31).

- Customer Information: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Lost Articles Office: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
