Upcoming closures and Victoria Day service adjustments
The TTC is advising customers of upcoming closures impacting both LRT and subway service, Victoria Day holiday service, and adjustments to accommodate construction projects across the city.
Friday to Monday – Line 6 closure from Finch West to Humber College stations
This Fri., May 15, until 6 a.m. on Tues., May 19, service on Line 6 Finch West, between Humber College and Finch West stations, will be replaced by buses due to planned infrastructure work by Metrolinx.
Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance. Customers can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Humber College Station will be closed. All other stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card and PRESTO ticket.
Sunday - Late opening between St George and Chester stations
This Sun., May 17, subway service on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, between St George and Chester stations, will start at 11 a.m. due to beam replacement work on the Prince Edward Viaduct.
Shuttle buses will operate, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding locations. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Bay and Sherbourne stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.
Victoria Day
On Mon., May 18, the TTC will be increasing subway service on Line 2, as well as bus and streetcar service on the 22 Coxwell, 92 Woodbine South, and 501 Queen routes to accommodate those travelling to Ashbridges Bay Park for the Victoria Day fireworks display. The 22 Coxwell route will be extended south on Coxwell Avenue and east on Lake Shore Blvd., to connect with Woodbine Beach. Additional TTC staff will be available to help direct customers to the appropriate boarding locations.
The TTC anticipates that many customers will be attending the festivities. Customers are reminded that some streets may be closed and TTC routes may be required to divert.
The TTC will also be running a holiday service this Victoria Day. All TTC routes will operate on their Sunday service schedules but will start earlier, at approximately 6 a.m. Any routes that do not normally operate on Sundays will not operate on Victoria Day. Construction related service adjustments
- Until 4 a.m. on Sat., May 23, 506/306 Carlton streetcars are operating westbound along Dundas St., and eastbound on Queen St., between Parliament St. and Broadview Ave. during streetcar infrastructure work. Replacement buses are operating.
- From 10 p.m. on Thurs., May 14, until 4 a.m. on Fri., May 15, 511 Bathurst streetcars will divert to Spadina Station via College St. and Spadina Ave. during Rapid TO road painting. Replacement buses will operate between Bathurst Station and Exhibition Loop.
- Starting at 10 p.m. on Thurs., May 14, until 4 a.m. on Fri., May 15, the 512/312 St Clair streetcars will be replaced by buses from St Clair Station to Gunns Loop due to construction.
- On Mon., May 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst streetcar service will operate as far west as Fleet Loop due to construction at Fleet St. and Fort York Blvd. Replacement buses will run between Bathurst St. and Lakeshore Blvd. and Exhibition Loop.
