TTC service changes beginning this Sunday, May 3
Starting this Sun., May 3, the TTC will resume regular service on the 504B/304B King streetcars on Queen St. E. between Broadview Ave. and Davies Ave. as overhead upgrades and testing and commissioning of the newly completed track infrastructure are complete.
Before 11 p.m., 506/306 Carlton streetcars will also resume regular routing through the College St. and Bay St. intersection, and 506B/306B Carlton bus replacement service will be removed.
After 11 p.m., 506/306 streetcars will continue to divert via Dundas St. between McCaul St. and Parliament St. to accommodate additional overhead upgrades. During this period, 506B/306B Carlton bus replacement service will operate between Spadina Station and Broadview Ave. and Gerrard St. E. via Spadina Ave., College St., Carlton St. and Parliament St.
Line 5 service adjustments
As the TTC continues to move towards full service on Line 5 Eglinton later this year, late-night Line 5 Eglinton replacement buses will no longer operate along the Eglinton corridor after 10 p.m., as of Sun., May 3. Service on Line 5 Eglinton will now end at 1:20 a.m. daily.
Jane Street service adjustments
Service changes are also being introduced on the 27 Jane South, 35 Jane, and 935 Jane Express routes to improve connections for customers travelling north and south of Eglinton Ave. W. The 27 Jane South and 35 Jane will operate continuous service from one route to the other at Mount Dennis Station in some periods, reducing the need for customers to transfer to continue their trips. Additional service will also be added on the 935 Jane Express, providing more frequent travel options along Jane St.
Seasonal service routes return
Also starting on Sun., May 3, the TTC’s 200-series seasonal bus routes are back in service, offering convenient and reliable transit to some of Toronto’s most popular parks and attractions.
The 200 Toronto Zoo will connect customers to and from Rouge Hill GO Station and the Toronto Zoo via Port Union Rd. and Sheppard Ave. E. This service will operate every 20 minutes on weekends and holidays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Weekday service will resume later this year.
In addition to the 200 Toronto Zoo service, the 201 Bluffer’s Park and 202 Cherry Beach routes are also back in service, offering convenient transit to the popular east-side beaches. The 201 Bluffer’s Park will operate every 15 minutes on weekends and holidays between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., while the 202 Cherry Beach will operate seven days a week beginning at 8 a.m. on weekends and 9 a.m. on weekdays.
Weekday service will also be added on the 203 High Park, which will now operate between High Park Station and High Park every day, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., with buses arriving every 20 minutes.
