Upcoming subway closures and service adjustments
Tonight only, Thurs., Nov. 27, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Sheppard-Yonge and Eglinton stations will end at 10 p.m. for planned track work.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance.
All subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.
Saturday and Sunday – Weekend track work between Kipling and Jane stations
This Sat., Nov. 29 and Sun., Nov. 30, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Kipling and Jane stations for planned track-level work. TTC crews will be upgrading signals and replacing a mechanical track switch.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Customers with accessibility needs can also take the 149 Etobicoke-Bloor Accessibility Shuttle buses which operates between Kipling and High Park stations. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance.
Grenview Boulevard Entrance at Royal York Station will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
Construction
- Until 4 a.m. on Mon., Dec. 1, 506/306 Carlton streetcars are running along Gerrard St., Coxwell Ave., Queen St. E., Broadview Ave., Dundas St. E. and Church St. due to emergency sewer repairs along Gerrard St. E. between Greenwood Ave. and Leslie St. Replacement buses are running between Main Street Station and Spadina Ave.
- Starting at 9 p.m. tonight, Thurs., Nov. 27, to 5 a.m. on Tues., Dec. 2, the 129 McCowan North, 130 Middlefield, 131 Nugget, 169 Huntingwood and 302 Kingston Rd-McCowan Night buses will divert during Metrolinx Ontario Line construction at McCowan Rd. and Nugget Ave.
- From 7 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 28 until 5:30 a.m. on Mon., Dec. 1, 45 Kipling and 945 Kipling Express southbound buses will run along Wincott Dr. between the The Westway and Hunting Ridge during sewer replacement.
- From 10 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 28 to 5 a.m. on Mon., Dec. 1, 164 Castlefield buses will divert during railway repairs. Westbound buses will run along Caledonia Rd., while eastbound buses will redirect onto Ronald Ave. between Castlefield Ave. and Eglinton Ave.
- On Sat., Nov. 29, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 112 The West Mall southbound buses will run along Burnhamthorpe Rd., Renforth Dr. and Bloor St. W. due to a crane lift.
Events
- From 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 28, 102D Markham Road buses will redirect onto Wootten Way N. between Parkway Ave. and Highway 7 during the Markham Festival of Lights.
- Between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 29, 102D Markham Road buses will divert during the Markham Santa Claus Parade. Buses will run along Highway 7, Wootten Way North, Parkway Ave., Paramount Rd., Fincham Ave. and 16th Ave.
