TTC seeks members for Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit

The TTC and its Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit (ACAT) are seeking new members to join the committee for the 2026 term.

“The members of TTC’s Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit are key players in ensuring that Toronto remains an accessible city,” said Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow. “Their advice and counsel to the TTC are instrumental in improving transit accessibility and ensuring that public transit is equitable and inclusive.”

“As Wheel-Trans celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, it’s important to reflect on the incredible progress of accessible transit in Toronto. The Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit continues to play a vital role in this journey,” said TTC Chair Jamaal Myers. “As more stations become fully accessible this year, the guidance of ACAT is more important now than ever.”

“The Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit is one of the many ways the TTC collaborates with members of the public to improve customer experience and accessibility of the TTC,” said TTC CEO Greg Percy. “We strongly encourage applications from people from diverse backgrounds, including Indigenous, Black, and other racialized communities. It is important that the committee continues to represent the diversity of Toronto.”

Applications for new members are now open and will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
