TTC adjusting maintenance schedule, adding service to accommodate fans travelling to and from Leafs home games
The TTC is adjusting this week's planned early nightly subway closures and adding service to accommodate fans travelling to and from Toronto Maple Leafs home games and celebrations in and around Scotiabank Arena.
Subway service between Sheppard-Yonge and College stations extended to midnight on Monday and Wednesday
On Mon., May 5 and Wed., May 7, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Sheppard-Yonge and College stations will continue until midnight, with the TTC delaying scheduled track work to ensure fans leaving Leafs games and celebrations have a seamless subway service. For those travelling after midnight, the TTC will be running a frequent shuttle bus service stopping at all stations along the route.
On Tues., May 6 and Thurs., May 8, subway service between these stations will end at 11 p.m. as scheduled to accommodate track work.
Extra service for playoff series home games
The TTC is adding extra service for Leafs home games to help fans get around the city safely. With Union Station just steps away from Scotiabank Arena, taking the TTC is the fastest and most eco-friendly way to travel.
Extra subway trains will be running on Line 1 Yonge-University, ensuring that fans can easily travel to and from the game. There will also be additional TTC staff at Union Station to assist customers, answer questions, and manage crowds, ensuring a smooth experience for all travellers.
If travelling on TTC bus or streetcar routes in the downtown core, the 510 Spadina, 19 Bay, 114 Queens Quay East and 121 Esplanade-River routes will get you to and from the games.
The TTC anticipates a high volume of fans in the downtown core tonight and advises customers that some streets may be closed, resulting in potential route diversions.
The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service, as well as alternate route options. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on X or sign up for eAlerts.
