Service changes for Canada Day weekend and citywide events
With no scheduled subway closures and extra service planned across the weekend for various events around the city including Pride festivities and Canada Day, the TTC is the fastest, safest, and most ecofriendly way to explore the city.
Canada Day holiday service
On Tues, July 1, the TTC will be running on a holiday service schedule for Canada Day. All TTC routes will operate a Sunday service schedule but will start earlier, at approximately 6 a.m. Any routes that do not normally operate on Sundays will not operate on Canada Day. Customers are encouraged to visit https://www.ttc.ca/routes-and-schedules/Service-details-and-holidays for more information.
Fireworks displays on Canada Day
On Tues., July 1, the TTC will be increasing subway service on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth to help customers travelling around the city to various events and fireworks displays.
Extra buses will be running on the 22 Coxwell and 92 Woodbine South to accommodate those travelling to Ashbridges Bay Park for the Canada Day fireworks display. The 22 Coxwell will be extended south on Coxwell Avenue and east on Lake Shore Blvd. to connect with Woodbine Beach. Additional TTC personnel will be available to help direct customers to the appropriate boarding locations.
Extra service is also being added on the 509 Harbourfront and 510 Spadina streetcar routes for those heading to the fireworks at Harbourfront Centre.
The TTC anticipates that many customers will be attending the festivities. Customers are reminded that some streets may be closed and TTC routes may be required to divert.
For other detailed planned diversions on Canada Day, customers are encouraged to check the Service Advisories page on www.ttc.ca.
Extra service on Line 1 for concert at Rogers Stadium
On Sun., June 29, the TTC will be adding extra service on Line 1 Yonge-University to help Stray Kids fans travel to and from the show at Rogers Stadium quickly and safely. Fans travelling to the concert can take Line 1 to Downsview Park Station. From the station, the venue is a short 10-minute walk away. Parking is also available at TTC commuter parking lots at Sheppard West, Pioneer Village, Highway 407 and Finch West stations.

Wednesday to Friday – Early nightly subway closure between St Clair West and St Andrew stations
From Wed., July 2, through Fri., July 4, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between St Clair West and St Andrew stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. to accommodate planned track work.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Dupont, Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service, as well as alternate route options. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on X or sign up for eAlerts.
