Labour Day weekend service adjustments and diversions due to events and construction
There are no scheduled subway closures this Saturday, Sunday or Monday, and with plenty of transit options, the TTC is the fastest, safest, and most eco-friendly way to get to and from all the events and attractions across Toronto.
Labour Day Holiday
On Mon., Sept. 1, the TTC will be running a holiday service schedule for Labour Day. All TTC routes will operate a Sunday service schedule but will start earlier, at approximately 6 a.m. Any routes that do not normally operate on Sundays, will not operate on Labour Day. Several TTC routes will be adjusted to accommodate the annual Labour Day Parade.
- 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 29 Dufferin will redirect at Dundas St. W. and operate to King St. W. via Lansdowne Ave., Queen St. W., and Cowen and Elm Grove avenues.
- 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 63 Ossington will turn back northbound using Dundas St., Shaw St., and Ossington Ave.
- 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 501 Queen will operate as a split route. Streetcars in the west end will run between Humber Loop and Dundas West Station via Roncesvalles Ave., while 501 Queen streetcars in the east end will run between Neville Park Loop and Church St. before turning back via Richmond St., Victoria St., and Adelaide St. 501 Queen replacement buses will run beginning at 7 a.m. between Humber Loop and Spadina Ave., via The Queensway, Queen St., and Spadina Ave. At 8:45 a.m., replacement bus routing will change to run between Humber Loop and Spadina Cres. via The Queensway, Queen St., Lansdowne Ave., Dundas St., and Spadina Ave.
- 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 503 Kingston Road replacement buses will run from Bingham Loop to King St. and Fraser Ave.
- 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 504 King will operate between Broadview Station and Charlotte Loop. Replacement buses will run between Dundas West Station and Elm Grove Ave., via Dunas St. W.
Streetcar service on the 510 Spadina and 511 Bathurst will be maintained during the parade, however, customers can expect delays when travelling along both routes.
Events
From 12:01 a.m. on Sat., Aug. 30, to 7 a.m. on Mon., Sept. 1, the 12 Kingston Road and 69 Warden South buses will divert during Taste of Bangladesh on Danforth Ave. Buses will divert via Kingston Rd., Birchmount Rd., Highview Ave., McIntosh St., Claremore Ave. and Kingston Rd.
Construction
- Until 7 a.m. on Fri., Sept. 5, the 70 O’Connor and 87 Cosburn buses are diverting during emergency sinkhole repairs. 87 Cosburn buses are running on O’Connor Dr. between Donlands Ave. and Woodbine Ave. 70 O’Connor buses are diverting via Woodbine Ave., Mortimer Ave., and Cowell Ave.
- Until 7 a.m. on Sat., Sept. 27, buses on the 94 Wellesley route are diverting during City of Toronto bike lane installation along Harbord St. Buses are running along Ossington Ave., Bloor St., Queens Park Cir., and Wellesley St.
- Until 7 a.m. on Sun., Oct. 12, 20 Cliffside westbound buses are diverting during roadway reconstruction at Eglinton Ave. and Midland Ave. Buses are running via Eglinton Ave., Gilder Dr., and Midland Ave.
