TTC cancels weekend subway closure on Line 1

The TTC has announced the cancellation of this weekend’s planned subway closure on Line 1 Yonge-University between St Clair and Sheppard-Yonge stations. As a result, all TTC subway lines are running a regular scheduled service today, May 18, and will operate on a Sunday schedule tomorrow, May 19. All subway stations are open for subway service.

Victoria Day

On Mon., May 20, the TTC will be running a holiday service for Victoria Day. There are no planned closures and all stations will be open for subway service.

TTC routes will be operating on their Sunday service schedules but will commence service earlier, starting at approximately 6 a.m. Routes that do not typically operate on Sundays will not be in service on Victoria Day.

Extra TTC service for Victoria Day fireworks at Ashbridges Bay Park

Beginning at noon on Mon., May 20, the TTC will be increasing service on the 22 Coxwell and 92 Woodbine South to accommodate those travelling to Ashbridges Bay Park for the Victoria Day fireworks display. The 22 Coxwell will be extended south on Coxwell Avenue and east on Lake Shore Blvd. to connect with Woodbine Beach. Additional TTC personnel will be available to help direct customers to the appropriate boarding locations.

The TTC anticipates that many customers will be attending the festivities. Customers are reminded that some streets may be closed and TTC routes may be required to divert.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service, as well as alternate route options. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on X or sign up for eAlerts.
