Take the TTC this long weekend
There are no scheduled subway closures this long weekend, and with plenty of transit options, the TTC is the fastest, most convenient, and eco-friendly way to get to and from all the events and attractions across Toronto.
CNE
Those attending the last weekend of the CNE can take the subway, Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, to Dufferin Station and a 29 Dufferin, 929 Dufferin Express, or CNE Express shuttle bus to Dufferin Gate Loop. From Bathurst Station, customers can take a 511 Bathurst streetcar or a dedicated CNE Express shuttle bus to Exhibition Loop. Customers can also take the subway, Line 1 Yonge-University, to Union Station and transfer to a 509 Harbourfront streetcar.
Taste of Bangladesh
Customers heading to the Taste of Bangladesh can take the subway Line 2 Bloor-Danforth to Warden or Victoria Park Station and transfer to surface routes.
Starting at midnight on Fri., Sept. 1, until 7 a.m. Mon., Sept. 4, sections of Danforth Ave., between Birchmount Ave. and Kingston Rd., will be closed. 12A Kingston Rd. buses will divert both ways along Highview Ave., McIntosh St., and Claremore Ave.
Labour Day Parade
On Mon., Sept. 4, several TTC routes will divert at various times to accommodate road closures for the annual Labour Day Parade.
7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- 501B Queen buses will divert north at Church St. and along Dundas St. to Bathurst St., not serving stops on Queen St. W., Bay St., Richmond St., and King St.
8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- 29 Dufferin buses will not be serving stops along Dufferin St., between Dundas St. W. and King St. W.
- 501 Queen streetcars will not be operating along Queen St. W.
- 501L Queen buses will divert at Lansdowne Ave., and will be serving stops along Dundas St. W.
10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- 63 Ossington buses will divert along Ossington Ave., Stokes St., and King St. W., and will not be serving stops on Queen St. W., or on Strachan Ave. north of King St. W.
Delays are expected on 504 King, 510 Spadina, and 511 Bathurst streetcars during the event.
