Update on construction at Broadview and Lawrence stations

Starting Sun., Nov. 19, the TTC will be adjusting several bus routes as streetcar track renewal at Broadview Station nears completion and Easier Access Project construction at Lawrence Station enters a new phase.

Broadview Station

Several TTC bus services will continue diverting from Broadview Station until early December, as work continues to complete streetcar track replacement at the station and along Broadview and Erindale avenues.

The TTC is prioritizing the completion of on-street construction, with Broadview Ave. between Danforth and Pretoria avenues remaining closed to traffic until work is complete.

Starting Sun., Nov. 19, until December:

  • 8 Broadview service will operate between Warden Station and Broadview Ave. at Mortimer Ave. This service will no longer combine with the 62 Mortimer.

  • 62 Mortimer will operate between Main Street Station and Mortimer Ave. at Broadview Ave. and no longer combine with the 8 Broadview.

  • 87 Cosburn will continue diverting to Pape Station via Mortimer and Pape avenues.

  • 100 Flemingdon Park will continue operating between Pape Station and Don Mills Rd. at Wynford Dr.

  • The Broadview Shuttle service with 72 Pape will discontinue, with connection to 501 Queen, 503 Kingston Rd, and 504 King streetcars returning via the 504/505 King/Dundas replacement bus.

  • 304 King Night bus will operate between Castle Frank and Dundas West stations, via Bloor St. E, Broadview Ave., Queen St. E., King St., and Roncesvalles Ave.

  • 322 Coxwell Night bus will continue diverting to Pape Station, via Pape, Mortimer, Broadview and Cosburn avenues.

  • 504/505 King/Dundas bus replacement will be extended further south to King and Parliament streets for connection to streetcars, operating along Broadview Ave. to Castle Frank Station via on-street stops at Broadview Station.

During the interim period, services will not appear correctly in transit apps. More information on Broadview Station construction can be found here: https://www.ttc.ca/broadviewconstruction.

Lawrence Station

The Easier Access Project at Lawrence Station is entering a new phase of construction, with the installation of elevators and new stairs connecting customers to the bus terminal and subway levels. Starting Sun., Nov. 19, the bus terminal at Lawrence Station will be closed for approximately 10 months, with adjustments to the following services:

  • 52 Lawrence West and 952 Lawrence West Express will divert to Eglinton Station, via Avenue Rd. and Eglinton Ave. W. Customers wishing to connect to these services should take the subway, Line 1 Yonge-University, to Eglinton Station. The 952 Lawrence West Express will operate express between Avenue Rd. and Eglinton Station, while the 52 Lawrence West will serve all stops.

  • 124 Sunnybrook and 162 Lawrence-Donway will serve on-street stops outside Lawrence Station at Yonge St. and Lawrence Ave. Buses will extend to Lawrence Ave. and Avenue Rd. where customers can connect to the 52 Lawrence West and 952 Lawrence West Express to continue west.

Subway service at Lawrence Station will be maintained throughout the construction. More information on the Lawrence Station Easier Access Project and diversions can be found here: https://www.ttc.ca/about-the-ttc/projects-and-plans/LawrenceStation.
