Upcoming TTC subway closures and long weekend service updates

Victoria Day long weekend service

There are no subway closures scheduled for the upcoming Victoria Day long weekend.

Beginning at noon on Mon., May 22, the TTC will be increasing service on the 22 Coxwell and 92 Woodbine to accommodate those travelling to Ashbridges Bay Park for the Victoria Day fireworks display. The 22 Coxwell will be extended south on Coxwell Avenue and east on Lake Shore Blvd. to connect with Woodbine Beach. Additional TTC personnel will be available to help direct customers to the appropriate boarding locations.

The TTC anticipates that many customers will be attending the festivities. Customers are reminded that some streets may be closed and TTC routes may be required to divert.

The TTC will be also be running holiday service this Victoria Day. Customers are encouraged to visit https://www.ttc.ca/routes-and-schedules/Service-details-and-holidays for more information, subscribe to eAlerts at www.ttc.ca or follow @TTCnotices on Twitter.

TTC maintenance work on Queen St E and King St E bridge

Beginning Sun., May 21 through to Sun., May 28, TTC track crews will be working on the Queen St. E. bridge over the Don River. 501B Queen buses and 504 King/505 Dundas replacement buses will continue to operate through the area.

Traffic will be reduced to the curb lane in each direction through the work zone; cyclists and vehicle traffic will be required to share the lane. DVP on-ramp access will be maintained.

Tuesday to Thursday

Tues., May 23, through to Thurs., May 25, subway service on the portion of Line 2 between Kipling and Keele stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. for track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will run and TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations.

Old Mill Station will be closed.  All other stations will remain open for people to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO Tickets and connect to surface routes.

At Royal York Station, the automatic entrance/exit at Grenview Blvd. will be closed and at High Park Station, the automated entrances/exits at Bloor St W. and Parkview Gardens (north and south) will be closed. Other entrances and exits will be available for customers at each subway station.

Also beginning at 5 a.m. on Tues., May 23, through to 5 a.m. Mon., May 29, service on the 501 and 301 Queen will be diverting to accommodate track repair on Queen St. W. Extra buses will run on the 501L, with service extending to the Wolseley Loop.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work as well as ATC signal upgrades.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternate routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
