TTC to hold virtual information session for skilled tradespersons and apprentices
On Tues., Sept. 28, the TTC will be holding a virtual information session for tradespersons and apprentices. Those interested in exciting career opportunities at the TTC can register at ttc.ca/trades in advance of the event.
"We're proud of our TTC and the employees who work day and night to keep it running for our city," said Mayor John Tory. "We are hiring more tradespersons and apprentices to do that crucial and important work and I encourage anyone interested to apply and join us in keeping Toronto moving."
"Tradespeople are the backbone of the TTC and play a critical role in building and maintaining the largest transit system in Canada," said TTC Chair Jaye Robinson. "I encourage anyone interested in contributing to the future of transportation in Toronto to register for this session to learn more about the many exciting opportunities available at the TTC."
"Through this information session, we are hoping to reach skilled tradespersons and apprentices who are interested in helping us continue to build a robust and accessible transit system for the people of Toronto," said TTC CEO Rick Leary. "We have a number of talented employees who work at the TTC, and I encourage everyone who is eligible to join the session and find out more about available career opportunities and what the TTC has to offer."
The event will take place on Tues., Sept. 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Attendees can expect to hear from current TTC employees about what it's like to work at the TTC and learn more about vacant positions and future opportunities. Participants will also be able to ask questions.
