TTC June Metropass celebrates Pride

This month, the TTC celebrates Pride with its June Metropass showcasing the 519 Mural – LGBTQ History & Community at 519 Church Street. On sale now until June 5, the pass features an image from the Church-Wellesley Village BIA that celebrates the LGBTQ community.

This year’s Metropasses all feature images of distinctly different Toronto murals from GTA neighbourhoods.

When designing the mural, which was intended to uplift the surrounding public space, artists Christiano De Araujo and John Kuna worked in consultation with members of the LGBTQ community, local leaders and youth.

Metropasses are available for purchase at collector booths and participating TTC fare agents and are $146.25 for adults and $116.75 for seniors (65+), students (13-19) and post-secondary students with valid ID.

The new adult 12 Month Passes on PRESTO are also available for purchase at prestocard.ca. These passes provide the same unlimited travel as Metropasses. For more information about the new 12 Month Pass on PRESTO, please visit www.ttc.ca/presto.

Along with June’s Metropass, the TTC will celebrate Pride with a specially wrapped bus that will run on the 94 Wellesley route throughout the month of June and will join the Pride parade, along with TTC employees and their families and friends, on Sun., June 24.
