Portion of TTC's Line 2 closed this Saturday only
This Sat., Dec. 8 only, the portion of Line 2 between Kennedy and Victoria Park stations will be closed for track work and maintenance. This is the TTC's final scheduled subway closure for 2018. Weekend work will continue in the new year.
Shuttle buses will run throughout the closure. All stations will remain open for fare sales and transfers to surface routes.
Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.
The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts at ttc.ca.
The TTC is also encouraging any customers who have not yet switched to PRESTO to do so before January.
TTC Monthly Passes and 12-Month Passes are available on PRESTO. These passes cost the same and provide the same unlimited travel as a regular Metropass or now discontinued Metropass Discount Plan (MDP). Customers can purchase a TTC Monthly Pass from any Shoppers Drug Mart location, from a Fare Vending Machine at TTC subway station entrances, from the TTC's Customer Service Centre or online at prestocard.ca. Twelve Month Passes on PRESTO are only available online at prestocard.ca.
With a PRESTO card, customers can take advantage of a number of benefits. Customers are encouraged to register their PRESTO card by creating a My PRESTO Account online at prestocard.ca. Registering a PRESTO card protects the balance or monthly pass on the card if it's ever lost or stolen. With a registered card, customers can also use the Autoload or Autorenew features so they never have to worry about loading money or a monthly pass, as it happens automatically.
