Effective May 26, 2025 to May 29, 2025

There will be limited subway service on Line 1 between Finch West and Pioneer Village stations starting at 11 p.m. nightly, until the end of service at approximately 2 a.m., from Monday, May 26 until Friday, May 29, due to planned tunnel work.

 

Customers can expect delays of up to 20 minutes when travelling between Finch West and Pioneer Village stations. This is because subways operating between these stations will be using one side of the tracks to travel in both directions. Trains will continue to operate on the northbound and southbound tracks between Pioneer Village and Finch stations, as per their regular schedule. 

 

Here’s what to do between Finch West and Pioneer Village stations:   

 

Pioneer Village Station:

  • Customers travelling southbound from Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station will need to transfer trains when they arrive at Finch West Station and cross over to the southbound platform to continue their journey south on Line 1. 
  • TTC staff will be on the platform to direct people to the train and answer any questions.

 

York University Station:

  • Trains will stop on the northbound tracks for both southbound and northbound trips.
  • TTC staff will let customers know which direction the train is travelling in when it arrives at the station. Customers may experience a delay of up to 20 minutes for a northbound or southbound train at these stations.

 

Finch West Station:

  • Northbound trains will arrive on the southbound tracks and platform. 
  • Customers will be asked to exit the train, cross the platform to the northbound side and wait for a train to arrive to travel north to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station. Customers may experience a delay of up to 20 minutes for a northbound train.
  • The train on the southbound tracks will return south towards Downsview Park Station and continue down Line 1 along its normal route.
