Line 1 (Yonge-University)–Vaughan Metropolitan Centre to Finch West stations – Planned single-track operation, nightly starting at 11 p.m. from Monday, September 28 to Thursday, October 1, 2026

Subway service on Line 1 between Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and Finch West stations will operate on a single track nightly starting at 11 p.m. from Monday, September 28 to Thursday, October 1 due to structural maintenance.

This will allow TTC crews to complete work on the opposite track while subway service continues on the other side of the tracks. Customers may experience delays of up to 15 minutes between Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and Finch West stations during this time.

Trains entering Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and Finch West stations may enter on the opposite side they normally enter on. Customers will be required to transfer trains at Finch West Station to continue their northbound journey.

TTC staff will be available on site to assist.

All TTC stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket and to connect to surface routes.

Regular service will resume every morning at approximately 6 a.m.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the end of service each night, it continues to require early weeknight and weekend closures to complete state-of-good-repair work.
