Line 1 (Yonge-University) St Clair West to King stations – Early nightly closure starting at 11:59 p.m. - Monday, March 16 to Thursday, March 19, 2026


Effective March 16, 2026 to March 19, 2026

Subway service on Line 1 between St Clair West to King stations will end nightly at 11:59 p.m. from Monday, March 16 to Thursday, March 19 for planned track work. 

 

Shuttle buses will be operating. TTC staff will be available to assist customers. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance. 

 

Dupont, Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed. The Kendal Avenue entrance at Spadina Station will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket and connect to surface routes. 

 

Here are alternative surface and subway routes for customers to connect to Line 1*:

Customers can take Line 2 to Bloor-Yonge Station to connect to Line 1 to King Station. 

St Clair West Station – Take a 512 St Clair eastbound to travel to St Clair Station. 

Queen’s Park Station – Take a 506 Carlton streetcar eastbound to College Station. 

94 Wellesley – The 94 Wellesley bus connects to Wellesley Station. This route operates between Ossington and Castle Frank stations. 

St Patrick Station – Take a 505 Dundas streetcar eastbound to TMU Station. 

Osgoode Station – Take a 501 Queen streetcar eastbound to Yonge Street and Adelaide Street West. From there, you have two options: 

  • Option 1: Walk for approximately two minutes south to King Station. 
  • Option 2: Walk approximately five minutes north to Queen Station. 

*With the exception of College Station, all of the stations listed above are accessible.

 

Regular subway service will resume each morning at approximately 6 a.m. 

 

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the end of service each night, it continues to require early weeknight and weekend closures to complete state-of-good-repair work.
