Upcoming subway closures and service adjustments


Starting Fri. May 22 at midnight, until 6 a.m. on Mon., May 25, there will be no subway service on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Woodbine and Kennedy stations for planned track work.

A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance. Customers can speak with any TTC staff member for assistance.

Warden Station will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket and connect to surface routes.

 

Extra service for Bruno Mars concert at Rogers Stadium

The TTC is turning up the volume for Bruno Mars fans this weekend, by adding extra service on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, to support people heading to Rogers Stadium on Sat., May 23 and Sun., May 24. 

Concertgoers are encouraged to take Line 1 to Downsview Park, Sheppard West, or Wilson stations, with Downsview Park being the closest to the venue. All three stations are within walking distance, and additional TTC staff will be positioned at each location to assist people heading to the stadium.

For customers with accessibility needs, a dedicated shuttle service will operate between Wilson Station and Rogers Stadium prior to and following each concert.

Extra buses will be deployed on routes 84 Sheppard West and 96 Wilson, and the 101 Downsview Park route will be extended to Sheppard West Station from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m., diverting via Sheppard Ave. and Keele St.

The TTC and Live Nation Canada are partnering for a second year to offer concertgoers free rides home from Rogers Stadium. Fans can show their concert ticket to TTC staff at Downsview Park, Sheppard West and Wilson stations after the show to access their complimentary trip home on the TTC

Service adjustments 

  • From 8 p.m. on Fri., May 22, until 5 a.m. on Sat., May 23, 501/301 Queen streetcars will divert along King St. E. from Church St. to Parliament St. during Toronto Hydro work at Queen St. E. and Church St. Replacement buses will operate

 

  • From 9 p.m. on Fri., May 22, until 9 a.m. on Sat., May 23, 52G Lawrence West buses will operate along Dixon Rd. between Kipling Ave. and Islington Ave., due to a crane lift. 

 

  • On Sat., May 23, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 65 Parliament buses will divert onto Lake Shore Blvd. E. between Lower Jarvis St. and Lower Sherbourne St., due to a crane lift. 

 

  • Starting at 11 p.m. on Sun., May 24, to 4 a.m. on Mon., May 25, 506/306 Carlton streetcars will redirect onto Queen St. from Parliament St. to Coxwell Ave. during TTC infrastructure work. Replacement buses will run along Gerrard St. 

 

Monday and Tuesday – Early nightly closures between Sheppard-Yonge and Eglinton stations

On Mon., May 25 and Tues., May 26, subway service on Line 1 Yonge-University between Sheppard-Yonge and Eglinton stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. for planned tunnel work.

A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance. Customers can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

 

All subway stations will be open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes. Certain station entrances will be closed, including the Old York Mills Rd. entrance at York Mills Station, and the Bedford Park Ave. and Ranleigh Ave. entrances at Lawrence Station.

 

Monday to Friday – Early nightly closures between Kennedy and Woodbine stations

Mon., May 25 through Fri., May 29, subway service on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Kennedy and Woodbine stations will end nightly at midnight for planned track work.

A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance. Customers can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

Warden Station will be closed. All subway stations will be open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes. 

 

While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
