Upcoming planned subway closures


Starting at midnight on Fri., Mar. 20, until 6 a.m. Mon., Mar. 23, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between St Clair West and St Andrew stations for planned track work.

Shuttle buses will operate between St Clair West and St George stations. There will be no shuttle bus service between St George and St Andrew stations. To access the downtown core, customers are encouraged to travel along the Yonge side of Line 1 and connect to east and west bus and streetcar routes. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance. Customers can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

Dupont, Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed, along with the Kendal Ave. entrance at Spadina Station. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.

Monday to Friday – Early nightly closures between Lawrence West and St Andrew stations

Mon., Mar. 23, through Fri., Mar. 27, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Lawrence West and St Andrew stations will end nightly at midnight for planned station work.

Shuttle bus service will operate between Lawrence West and St George stations. There will be no shuttle buses between St George and St Andrew stations. To access the downtown core, customers are encouraged to travel along the Yonge side of Line 1 and connect to east and west bus and streetcar routes. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance. Customers can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

Glencairn, Dupont, Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed, along with the Kendal Ave. entrance at Spadina Station. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
