Take the TTC to the FIFA Kickoff Concert this Wed., June 10
This Wed., June 10, Toronto will host one of three official FIFA Kickoff Concerts at Fort York National Historic Site and The Bentway, and the TTC is the best way to get to the venue.
To help concertgoers travel quickly and safely, additional service will be running on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. Customers can connect to a 509 Harbourfront streetcar at Union Station, or a 511 Bathurst streetcar at Bathurst Station, to get to Fort York National Historic Site and The Bentway. As of Sun. June 7, service on the 509 and 511 routes has been increased to operate every five minutes, to accommodate increased travel on these routes during the FIFA World Cup 2026TM.
TTC Customer Service ambassadors, who can be easily identified by their red TTC jerseys, will also be available at high-traffic locations to answer customer questions, provide directions, and offer on-the-spot support.
The FIFA Kickoff Concert will take place simultaneously across Toronto, Mexico City and Los Angeles, with a mix of live and broadcast performances. The Toronto line-up includes Bryan Adams, Nora Fatehi featuring Sanjoy, Vegedream, and AHI and Wyclef Jean.
With the FIFA World Cup 2026TM set to kick off on June 11, and the first game in Toronto on June 12, the TTC will be offering enhanced and expanded service on match days to and from Toronto Stadium and FIFA Fan Festival™ Toronto. Subway service will also be extended on select nights, to ensure that fans, residents, and visitors can get home safely.
