Take the TTC to tonight’s match as Portugal meets Croatia at Toronto Stadium
Portugal and Croatia meet in tonight’s round of 32 match at Toronto Stadium, and the TTC is ready to get fans to and from the big game.
Additional service will be running on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, as well as on several bus and streetcar routes. Tonight, subway service will run past the usual 1:30 a.m. end time to ensure fans travelling to the stadium and to FIFA Fan FestivalTM have a safe and convenient way home.
Getting to Toronto Stadium and FIFA Fan FestivalTM
Beginning at 1:30 p.m. today, the 63 Ossington, 504 King, 509 Harbourfront, and 511 Bathurst will divert to accommodate large fan marches expected for today’s FIFA World Cup 2026™ match. Customers are encouraged to plan for extra travel time and consider using the 29/829/929 Dufferin bus from Dufferin Station, or the 501 Queen to travel east/west along Queen St. W. or connect to the subway.
The Fleet Street Transit Hub serves as the dedicated match-day streetcar pick-up and drop-off point, as Exhibition Loop and road access to Exhibition Place will be closed. The Fleet Transit Street Hub, between Fort York Boulevard and Strachan Avenue on Fleet Street, gives fans access to Toronto Stadium and the FIFA Fan Festival TM.
To get to Toronto Stadium, Fort York National Historic Site, and The Bentway, customers can take a:
- 29/929 bus from Dufferin Station to Dufferin Gate Loop
- 829 Dufferin Gate Express bus that will provide non-stop service between Dufferin Station and Dufferin Gate Loop on match days
- 509 Harbourfront streetcar from Union Station
- 511 Bathurst streetcar from Bathurst Station
Customers travelling on the 504 King streetcar can exit at King St. W. and Bathurst St. and transfer to a southbound 511 Bathurst streetcar to connect to Fleet Street Transit Hub.
Following the match, the TTC will monitor traffic conditions and implement service adjustments as needed in response to any unplanned road closures. In the event of road closures on Dundas St. W., 505 Dundas streetcars will divert in both directions via College St. and Ossington Ave. before returning to regular routing.
After the match, northbound 511 Bathurst streetcars will bypass all stops on Bathurst Street between Fleet Street and King St. W. for a few hours. Eastbound 509 Harbourfront streetcars will also bypass all stops from Fleet Hub (Fleet St. between Strachan Ave. and Fort York Blvd.) to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport after each match for a few hours. Customers with accessibility needs will be accommodated as requested.
TTC Customer Service Ambassadors, who can be easily identified by red jerseys, will also be available at high-traffic locations to answer customer questions, provide directions, and offer on-the-spot support.

Planning your trip
Customers are encouraged to plan their trips using the TTC’s online trip planner, or Transit app. Through a partnership between the TTC and Transit app, step-by-step navigation is available for TTC stations on lines 1, 2, 4 and 6. At Bathurst, Dufferin, Union, Bloor-Yonge, King and St Andrew stations, these instructions align with new alpha-numeric exit identification signage. As an added bonus this summer, Toronto transit users gain access to Transit’s premium trip planning service, Royale, free of charge.
The TTC website also has a redesigned live service updates bar, which offers a more intuitive, centralized view of service alerts and advisories about planned and real-time impacts across the network.
Fans travelling through Bathurst Station to the match can also visit the TTC pop-up shop to purchase limited-edition TTC merchandise, which will only be available during the FIFA World Cup 2026™. TTC shop kiosks will be popping up at other stations throughout the tournament and TTC soccer-themed merchandise can also be purchased online.
