Take the TTC to explore the city this weekend


With another busy summer weekend ahead, customers are encouraged to take the TTC — the fastest and most convenient way to travel to the many events and activities happening across the city.

 

Enhanced subway service for soccer fans


On Sat., July 11, the TTC will operate enhanced subway service on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, to help soccer fans travel to and from the FIFA Fan Festival™:

 

  • Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth subway service will run more frequently, with service extended beyond the regular 1:30 a.m. end time to ensure fans have a safe ride home.
  • 504 King, 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst streetcar service will operate every five minutes, to accommodate more customers travelling on these routes.
  • 29 Dufferin/929 Dufferin Express buses are operating in dedicated transit lanes from Dufferin Station to Dufferin Gate Loop, to help keep service running smoothly.

     

Temporary route diversions due to events across the city

 

  • 506/306 Carlton streetcars will divert onto Queen St. E. between Parliament St. and Coxwell Ave. beginning at 1 a.m. on Sat., July 11, until 2 a.m. on Mon., July 13, due to the Festival of South Asia. 506/306 Carlton replacement buses will operate between Sherbourne St. and Main Street Station. Stops along Gerrard St. E., between Greenwood Ave. and Coxwell Ave., will not be serviced.
  • 512 St Clair streetcars will operate along a split route from 7 a.m. on Sat., July 11 until 11:59 p.m. on Sun., July 12, during Salsa on St Clair. Streetcars will operate between Gunns Loop and St Clair Ave. W. and Robina Ave., and between St Clair and St Clair West stations. 512 St Clair replacement buses will operate from St Clair West Station to Oakwood Ave., diverting around the festival area via Christie St., Davenport Rd. and Oakwood Ave. 312 St Clair-Junction buses will divert both ways on Oakwood Ave., Davenport Rd. and Christie St.
  • 19 Bay and 97 Yonge buses will divert from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Sat., July 11, due to the Chariot Fest Parade. 19 Bay buses will divert onto Bay St., Wellington St., York St. and King St. W. 97 Yonge buses will operate along Bay St. between Gerrard St. W. and Wellington St. W. Customers may experience delays on the following routes during the parade:

     

  • 94 Wellesley
  • 114 Queens Quay East
  • 121 Esplanade-River
  • 202 Cherry Beach
  • 501 Queen
  • 503 Kingston
  • 504 King
  • 505 Dundas
  • 506 Carlton
