TTC adjusting bus routes in preparation for opening of Line 5 Eglinton

Starting Sun., Feb. 8, the TTC will be introducing six new bus routes and adjusting service on several additional routes along Eglinton Avenue in line with the opening of Line 5 Eglinton. These changes will make it easier for customers along Eglinton Avenue and intersecting routes to connect directly to Line 5 Eglinton.

The following new routes will be introduced:

• 18 Caledonia – Will connect to Line 5 Eglinton at Caledonia Station and replace service on Caledonia Rd between Eglinton Ave. W. and Yorkdale Station that was previously provided by the 47B/C Lansdowne.
• 27 Jane South – Will operate on Jane St. between Eglinton Ave. W. and Jane Station, partially replacing 35 Jane service, connecting to Line 5 Eglinton at Mount Dennis Station.
• 34 Eglinton – Will operate between Mount Dennis Station and Kennedy Station via Eglinton Ave. W. and Eglinton Ave. E., replacing service previously provided by the 32 Eglinton West and 34 Eglinton East.
• 151 Leslie North – Will operate between Leslie Station and Steeles Ave. E., replacing the service previously provided by the 51 Leslie.
• 158 Trethewey – Will operate on Trethewey Dr. between Eglinton Ave. W. and Weston Rd. & Oak St., replacing service previously provided by 32C Eglinton West. Connects to Line 5 Eglinton at Keelesdale Station.
• 334 Eglinton – Will operate between Pearson Airport and Finchdene Sq., replacing service previously provided by 332 Eglinton West and 334 Eglinton East.

The following routes will be adjusted and will now connect to Line 5 Eglinton:

• 32 Eglinton West – Service will now operate on Eglinton Ave. W. between Mount Dennis Station and Renforth Station, connecting with Line 5 Eglinton at Mount Dennis Station.
• 35 Jane – Service will operate between Pioneer Village Station and Mount Dennis Station. 935 Jane Express service will continue to operate between Pioneer Village Station and Jane Station.
• 47 Lansdowne – Service will operate between Caledonia Station and Queen St. W. via Lansdowne Station.
• 51 Leslie – Service will operate between Donlands Station and Leslie Station (51A) and Don Mills (51B), and will connect to Line 5 Eglinton at Laird Station. Service on Eglinton Ave. E. west of Laird Dr. will be removed and replaced by Line 5 Eglinton, and adjusted service on 34 Eglinton. Service north of Leslie Station to Steeles Ave E will be replaced by 151 Leslie North.
• 54 Lawrence East – Service will operate between Starspray Loop/Morningside Ave. and Don Valley Station via Lawrence Ave. E. and Don Mills Rd. Service on Lawrence Ave. E., Leslie St., and Eglinton Ave. E. west of Don Mills Rd. will be removed and replaced by Line 5 Eglinton and adjusted service on 34 Eglinton,  51 Leslie, and 162 Lawrence-Donway.
• 71 Runnymede – Serivce will connect to Line 5 at Mount Dennis Station.
• 72 Pape – Service will connect to Don Valley Station, with buses now picking up and dropping off passengers inside the bus terminal.
• 89 Weston – Service will connect to Mount Dennis Station via Eglinton Ave. W.
• 91 Woodbine – Service will operate between Woodbine Station and Lawrence Ave. E., connecting with Line 5 at Sloane Station. 191 Underhill will replace service between Lawrence Ave. E. and York Mills Rd.
• 100 Flemingdon Park – Service will now connect to Don Valley Station. 100B service will operate on Linkwood Ln., replacing 34C Eglinton service.
• 162 Lawrence-Donway – Service will be extended to Don Valley Station via Don Mills Rd., Wynford Dr., and Gervais Dr. Service on the Donway E. will be removed and replaced by adjusted service on 51B Leslie.
• 191 Underhill – Service will connect to Don Valley Station, with buses now picking up and dropping off passengers inside the bus terminal.
• 954 Lawrence East Express – Service will be removed from Kennedy Station and extended to Don Valley Station via Lawrence Ave. E., Don Mills Rd., Wynford Dr., and Gervais Dr.
• 989 Weston Express - Service will connect to Mount Dennis Station via Black Creek Dr.

The following routes will be removed:

• 56 Leaside – Service on this route will be removed and replaced by Line 5 Eglinton and adjusted service on the 34 Eglinton and 51 Leslie.
• 332 Eglinton West – Service on this route will be removed and replaced by service on the 334 Eglinton.
