Upcoming TTC service adjustments this weekend

Beginning this Fri., Aug. 14, at midnight, until 6 a.m. on Mon. Aug. 17, there will be no subway service on Line 1 Yonge-University between Sheppard West and St Clair West stations while TTC crews perform track maintenance to address reduced speed zones in the area. Work includes replacing sections of track and repairing areas that have shifted or worn over time. This work will help remove speed restrictions, improve travel times, and enhance service reliability for customers.

Shuttle buses will operate frequently, stopping at each station along the route. Wheel-Trans service will be available; customers can speak with TTC staff for assistance.

Glencairn Station will be closed, as well as the Ranee Ave. entrance at Yorkdale Station. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.

Service adjustments for events

7/307 Bathurst buses will divert both ways on Wilson Ave., Faywood Blvd., and Laurelcrest Ave., while 160 Bathurst North buses will operate on Faywood Blvd. and Laurelcrest Ave. from 10 a.m. on Fri., Aug. 14, until 2 a.m. on Mon., Aug. 17, during Taste of Manila.

20 Cliffside and 113 Danforth Road buses will divert from 7 a.m. until midnight on Sat., Aug. 15, during Wheels on the Danforth. Buses will operate on Gerrard St. E. and Clonmore Dr. Between Victoria Park Ave., and Warden Ave.

506/306 Carlton streetcars will operate on Dundas St. and Queen St. between Bay St. and Coxwell Ave. nightly from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fri., Aug. 14 and Sat., Aug. 15, during the Pakistan/India Independence Day. Replacement buses will operate to cover stops missed by streetcar service.

19 Bay, 97C Yonge and 506 Carlton routes will divert from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sun., Aug. 16, during the Panorama India Day Festival Parade. Customers travelling on the 505 Dundas streetcar route may experience delays because of the parade.

Construction will impact service on the following routes

501/301 Queen eastbound streetcars will operate on King St. between Spadina Ave. and Church St. from 9 p.m. on Sat., Aug. 15, until 4 a.m. on Sun., Aug. 16, due to a crane lift. Replacement buses will operate between Wolseley Loop and Queen and Jarvis streets.

506/306 Carlton streetcars will operate on Dundas St. E. and Queen St. E. between Bay St. and Coxwell Ave. from 11 p.m. on Sun., Aug. 16 until 4 a.m. on Sun., Aug. 23 due to Metrolinx construction. Replacement buses will operate between Coxwell Station and Jarvis and Carlton streets and Spadina Station and Broadview Ave. and Lower Gerrard St. E.

509 Harbourfront and 510/310 Spadina streetcar service will be adjusted from 11 p.m. on Fri., Aug. 14, until 4 a.m. on Mon., Aug. 17 due to overhead work in the Harbourfront Tunnel. 509 Harbourfront streetcars will run between Exhibition Loop and Queens Quay Loop, while 510/310 Spadina streetcars will operate between Spadina Station and Queens Quay Loop. Replacement buses will operate between Union Station and Queens Quay Loop.

The following routes will divert until 7 p.m. on Fri., Oct. 30, due to road reconstruction on Danforth Ave. between Victoria Park to Main St:

20 Cliffside
23 Dawes
113 Danforth
300 Bloor-Danforth night

Monday to Friday - Early nightly subway closures between Lawrence West and St George stations

Mon., Aug. 17, to Fri., Aug. 21, subway service on Line 1 Yonge-University between Lawrence West and St George stations will end at midnight each night for planned track work.

Shuttle buses will operate frequently, stopping at each station along the route. Wheel-Trans service will be available; customers can speak with TTC staff for assistance.

Glencairn and Dupont stations will be closed, as well as the Heath St. entrance at St Clair West Station and the Kendal entrance at Spadina Station. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
